Review Time
The villa was rather isolated down a single track road that was hell to drive on, full of potholes, lumps, bumps, sharp bends and precarious edges. We were on edge every time we had to leave or get back to the villa. I even manged to bump the hire car twice, the only time I have had an accident in more than 40 years of driving. The villa itself was fine and the owner helpful but after 3 days we had had enough and requested a flight back to the UK. Whilst the manager was very helpful it still took an age to arrange flights home and it was only when we got to the airport that we actually got confirmation that we had got seats for the flight. I'm sure most Solmar villa holidays are excellent but this was the first year this villa had been used and there were no reviews to help us. It looked good on paper but we were very disappointed.
Great experience with Solmar! When we arrived our extra cot we had ordered wasn’t in the villa. We called up and within an hour a lovely lady arrived with a car full of stuff for us; extra cot, high chairs, beach umbrella and towels etc. very trust worthy and reliable. Lovely experience, would recommend!!
Lovely new villa in Zurbaran villa Nerja, just a few issues, we could here what everyone was doing on the loo next door & activitives in the bedroom!! & they were having it large! The apartment was spotless, credit to the cleaners, we were meant to have parking & this had been withdrawn with no notice, most evenings it took an hour to park!
Contact with staff at Solar Villas was excellent from the start. Staff really helpful and responded quickly to any queries. Villa itself was adequate but bathrooms need updating and beds very hard and uncomfotable. Pool was excellent but another umbrella would have been useful. We thought use of a car should be recommended rather than optional as taxis are hard to source. But overall a very good holiday. Would definitely use Solmar again
The villa and pool were lovely, clean and comfortable. We had a problem in our second week with the pool. The filters stopped working. One call to solmar and the pool guy was there and fixed the problem the next day. The only thing I would say needed attention was the TV. We spent a few evenings in the Villa. The tv did not have a good choice of English programmes which was a bit disappointing.The airport transfers were excellent no waiting around.Overall the holiday was great and I would definitely book again with Solmar.
Booked a villa in Menorca via Jet 2. The villa was filthy and damp. It was also full of sewer gas. This villa in Menorca was a Solmar Villa, neither Jet 2 or Solmar could care less about us as customers, not to mention our health and safety. We had to travel home early as the pool was contaminated with sewage following a storm. Solmar villas own maintenance engineer agreed with us that the villa was not fit for purpose and dangerous. We had to get a flight of the island three days earlier when it became apparent neither Jet 2 or Solmar would help us. Avoid both companies they don’t care!!!!UPDATEMade contact as asked was passed around until cut off. Confirms what I thought and expressed in my review. They don’t care. Avoid this company, if it goes wrong they are happy to take your money and give zero customer service.
We had a wonderful week at Villa Cielo. Our initial slight concerns about a villa so close to other properties were unfounded, as the clever design meant you really weren't overly aware of the neighbours. The house was very well appointed and presented, the terrace and pool are were perfectly presented, and being north facing we were able to find shade throughout the day. We are regular visitors to Kefalonia and this house has some of the best views so far. As an older couple our only very slight issue was the narrow, steep stairs. There is a metal handrail but it's not super sturdy so they were still a bit of a challenge for us. As usual the booking experience with the Solmar team was all excellent and we would recommend this villa to others.
Robbed 2 hours after arriving in Villa Amelia bay coral bay pathos. Masked men armed threatened my sleeping children upstairs! Windows left open by cleaners and doors, set up job! Warning do not stay they are extremely unsafe and then when you call for help they accuse you of being liars!! They seem to be set up villas. No cameras or security extremely unsafe ruined our holiday traumatised our children and ransacked us!
