Review Time
The villa on the whole was lovely. Kitchen well equipped and lovely view from the balcony.The mattresses however were very uncomfortable, on the two double beds.A lot of activity on the waste ground next door with lorries dumping rubble constantly causing a bit of dust.
great location, short walk to aldi for essentials. 20 minute walk to the beach on the footpath. great size swimming pool and garden area. rubber rings and inflatables already there to use. sun on the swimming pool all day. would definitely recommend.
Perfection. Such was the enjoyment of my stay, I uncharacteristically booked the exact same villa I had last year. Highly professional, understanding and polite staff. The Villas Solmar have available are not only luxurious, they are a little world of their own. Whether one is seeking to rest up by the pool with a great view, or get the whole gang together for a family holiday/team trip etc, this company certainly can and will accommodate.
In 40 years of renting villas all over Europe this is without doubt the worst company, it used to be James Villas but now I know Solmar took over most of their villas they also have their same customer service (ZERO), we rented stone cottage in Corfu every photo and the description were so misleading it took 2 days for the very over worked rep to come and see us and all the problems, just one example was that we had a brick built Bar-B-Q at the villa which turned out to be a very small portable rusting one in a corner by the pool, while waiting for a response from customer services we looked to see if they had another villa empty we could move too and there was when the rep turned up with a laughable €20 voucher per head that was three adults and two small children as a way of an apology we told her that we wanted to move to another villa, she then called her boss who was on the island of Crete who told us under no circumstances could we move to another villa but if we wanted to, we would have to pay another five days on the other Villa which came to over another £500 which we be grudgingly had to pay to try and enjoy the last of our holiday and I said I would deal with this matter when we got back to the UK which we did and was sent an email from customer services saying they had reviewed the situation and was prepared to give us a £200 voucher as compensation towards another villa rental, this in my eyes was not good enough so I went to my bank and along with MasterCard we filed a complaint against Solmar the Bank refunded the original amount £640 and after 35 days Solmar accepted the judgement in our favour, so all I can say is never except what they think they can get away with.
