I took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer. Unfortunately when I went to collect them the most expensive pair were not ready they discovered an error in them and would have to return them to the makers . I found this very dissapointing considering as I'd payed in excess of £500 a better service was expected. Hopefully they will get it right next time.
New glasses bought in the spring, arm hinge mechanism snapped yesterday whilst wearing them. told I have to pay for replacement frames inspite ofhaving them for just over 6 months. Specsavers claim online " Glasses with defects within 2 years will repaired or replaced at no cost". Then further into their policies they state " free servicing does not include fixing or replacing broken, cracked or scratched lenses, frames or sides as they constitute damage". So they make a promise to get your business and then put an opt out clause in their terms and conditions. How is this acceptable and how does it work if the sale of goods act states that goods sold should be fit for purpose for 2 years from date of purchase? Not happy at all!
As always Specsavers excelled themselves. My husband is elderly and "Chandra" - the lady who dealt with him on arrival was most courteous and understanding. She took the time to explain in detail both before he had the eye test and again after that was done - the results and what his options were. I cannot recommend this Specsavers in Windsor highly enough. Well done and many many thanks. 5*****
