The salesperson recommended varifocals with three prescription levels, implying I would need glasses all the time. The cost approached £400, and when the salesperson asked a colleague to verify the pricing, they noted I had added several items I was never informed about. When I sought a more affordable option, she mentioned another pair of varifocals for £300. Ultimately, I asked if I could just have reading glasses, to which she replied 'Yes,' but this option was never presented initially. It felt like it was all about maximizing charges!
I consistently choose this service because they genuinely prioritize customer care (I’ve tried other places and the service just doesn’t compare). I appreciate that I can schedule an over-the-counter consultation alongside an eye test to monitor my eye health. I was extremely pleased with my new glasses I picked up yesterday, allowing me to drive at night without discomfort from oncoming headlights or headaches.
I bought new glasses in the spring, and the arm hinge broke yesterday while I was using them. I was told I would need to pay for replacement frames, even though I had them for just over six months. The company claims online that 'Glasses with defects within 2 years will be repaired or replaced at no cost,' but their policies state that 'free servicing does not cover fixing or replacing broken, cracked, or scratched lenses, frames, or sides as they constitute damage.' This feels deceptive, as it seems designed to attract customers while including a loophole in their terms. How is this acceptable when the sale of goods act mandates that items sold should be fit for purpose for two years from the purchase date? Very disappointed!
