Review Time
I wanted mainly reading glasses with a little bit of distance. What I got was miniscule reading. Virtually unusable glasses. I went to another optometrist . They found that the prescription in the lenses were wrong as well. Specsavers didn’t even respond to my email. I would never use them again. So much for customer service.
My glasses are totally the wrong prescription and I get an headache withing minutes off wearing them but need to be able to see to use phone read etc. I've not meet many who have had a good experience at Specsavers. It's so busy and it seems like they just want you in and out asap!

I went to spec savers for a new pair of glasses ones with a tint as I was going on holiday got nice frames all together cost £200. got to sunny climate they were blurred in the sun lookin through them, they had not removed the pen mark in middle of each lens, went back to them saying what i saw, they said they couldnt see anything wrong, I said you have to be wearing them, was told to come back my son was driving me home as the sun was out all I saw was two bright lights where the pen marks were, so went back a while later I was put to someone else a message had been left for him to look at!!! then he has the neck to tell me we can give you buy one get one free, i told him i just paid £200 and i was not paying for another pair, and nothing is free, now common sense would have told them put in new lenses but NO, blurred vision when driving eh hello they were varifocals reading and long vision, I have a disablity with balance so I could not wear them after that. Now they are sending me letter for eye test, dont think i will till this is sorted out
The branch in Sainsburys Calcot are really poor on customer service and were extremely unhelpful to tge point of obstruction. Worse the glasses I had from them for reading were not made to the prescription. Only discovered when tested at Vision Express for new glasses that I struggled to adjust to. Their were 2 major errors in the glasses from specsavers that I had been wearing for 14 months. They were expensive frames but pointless if the lenses aren't accurate. I will never go back to specsavers they just want to sell frames. To top it all they are the DVLA's optician for driving licenses.
