Shocking customer service! Tried to return my son’s trainers and when I located the receipt. Realised that I was charged twice for a man bag when only received one. When I explained to a member of staff at sports direct they informed me I could not get a refund as I paid with a gift card and no longer have the gift card. I’m sure a lot of people would discard a gift card that has £0 value left. Therefore due to sports directs employee, I ended up paying twice and cannot get anything back in return.
How on earth does a company in today's society not have a customer service contact point?? I ordered a table tennis table online. Received my delivery date, waited in on the day and low and behold the delivery company try and deliver a treadmill?After waiting on hold for 30 mins to the delivery company they tell me that SD sent them the wrong item.I try and contact SD to find out what has happened. No customer contact centre just an infuriating ChatBot that is completely useless. I then realise that I have to email my issue.A generic email is sent back in reply telling you how busy they are and that they will get around to you when they have time.So, I have spent £229 and I have no idea where, when or if I am going to get the table tennis table which is a birthday present for my son. It now seems that it won't be arriving in a timely manner as I have to wait for the busy department to read my email and then contact me when they're not so busy. Really poor service here.UPDATE- Finally got an email from customer services three days after I contacted them. Here we are on the 21st of September and still no table tennis table, no clue as to where it is, when I will get it and SD don't seem to have a clue either as they sent me some useless tracking information telling me where the running machine I didn't order now is!!Absolutely fantastic!!!
I ordered multiple items for size and comfort. 2 items (Tshirts) came separately. When I tried to return some items I filled in the returns form but the 2 items that arrived separately said they could not be returned. This is actually against the law. Trading standards/consumers rights states that consumers have a 14 day cooling off period and anything bought online can be returned unless it’s hygiene products, ie swimwear, underwear etc but NOT tdhirts. They are breaking the law. by doing this. I cannot find an email address nor a telephone number to contact them. There is a ‘customer service’ number I hound but it’s premium rate, well that says it all doesn’t it. When you press contact them you get automated questions and answers but no way of contacting them. I am contacting trading standards today as a big company like this should know the law and not be breaking it. Their prices are good, but, to do this is not acceptable. No customer service at all. Had I known this I would not have ordered them in the first place. I now have 2 tshirts costing £60 that I cannot return. Shame on you sports direct
Ordered online and did not for a second expect that I would need to return the item but when it arrived it was too small. Tried to return in store but was told they no longer accept returns ordered online! Went to the website and you have to pay £4.99 to return the item so if I return this online I will have paid £4.99 delivery and then another £4.99 just to return it! I bought a new costume in store when I tried to do a refund so still bought from the store and all I wanted to do was swap the items as the original was too small but this was not possible. You are tied as the store doesn’t have the variety they have online so you have to buy online and there’s no reasonable way to return the item. I will not choose to buy online from them again which is a shame as they do have a variety of products. This is so disappointingBE VERY WARY OF BUYING ONLINE AS YOU CANNOT RETURN IN STORE AND HAVE TO PAY TO RETURN!!!
