Review Time
I have just spent over 4 hours with 5 different agents due to my phone just suddenly not working anymore. round and round and round. nobody knows what they're doing, they're just going by a certain process that may work if it is something really simple, but does not do anything if it is any deeper than that.
When it works, it is ok service, but if something goes wrong, best to throw them out and move on to someone else.
The WORST service ive ever had. It will completely take my service and o have to reboot my phone to get my signal back. It says "5g plan!" But im usually on 4g. Not only that but it is so hard to understand their technical support and its not user friendly. Their AI for their phone plan is r****ded and when you try to call tech support it tells you that it found the problem with your service and tells you to reboot your phone avant when youre not calling about that. It can be completely misleading and difficult. Their plans arent meant for teenagers using their phone for gaming or social media. It will lag you out within 10 minutes of playing. I live in a brick house and i thought it was going to be fine but even when im near a window or outisde it still doesnt work like its SUPPOSED to. They dont fix anything that NEEDS to be fixed. I use mobile Hotspot and when ive used it all up, if its close enough to my end date, ill re-up my service and get more! But this time when I went to do that it didnt work. I cant use anything to get my school work done and not only that but they have NO benefits. No cool phone updates no cool gadgets that comes along with the service. Literally all they have is terrible service, bad mobile Hotspot, awful video quality, terrible game lag, awful technical support, unhonest price plans, and TERRIBLE coverage. I cant switch to Verizon or anything else until I move out so im stuck with this bullsh*t.
Ihave had straight talk for years. I haven't asked for an extension since last year and I asked for the second time and was told no and sorry about your luck. And there was nothing they more they could do so now I need to get a hold of a different carrier. A carrier that will work with me I
Straight talk phones are extremely cheap and work just like any other phone.THATS IT!!!! Their customer service agents act completely slow and ignorant. Every single month it's time to pay my phone bill, the app starts problems preventing me from paying my bill. I've tried to enroll in auto pay to fix this issue but even their auto pay doesn't work!! Then, I call their customer service line to pay my bill and the agents take forever to complete that! They always apologize for technical issues EVERY MONTH. Bill pay day is always stressful and annoying!!!
First, they were double dipping into my account when I had autopay on. After a year I realized and it as investigated and proven true. I was refunded but still criminal minded practice by a corporation. THEN I just discovered that because I discontinued autopay because of that, they were sneaky and sending notification texts claiming I need to refill or Id lose service on a certain date. WHich I did but realized that it was getting sooner and sooner each month. I called and they acknowledged (like hand in cookie jar) that they owed me a week of service. Then a few days later I chose a supposedly better plan with unlimited hot spot and there was this 5Guw service. However the hotspot is NOT 5Guw....or even 5G for that matter, its 4G with 5 MBPS HOTSPOT!!!!! GARBAGE and sneaky deception yet again. Im so tired of these predatory companies trying to squeeze every dime out of people and then doing so in frauduelent or criminal ways.
Purchased a Samsung Galaxy A17. Did the data transfer. Everything worked fine rest of day and evening. Woke up next day and phone needed a lock screen code in order to access anything on it. I never set that up on my new phone and any old phone that I've had I've also never had a lock screen code. I called CS and she repeatedly wanted me to remember what I had entered as a screen lock code, to the point I got very angry with her. She continued to accuse me of forgetting what it was. She said she could only do a factory reset or I could enter the code I forgot. I asked for a Supervisor. After about 5 minutes a man got on the phone. He was very abrupt, did the same accusations. It was textbook reading. I finally agreed to do the factory reset. So he put the original female back on phone. She came back on the line and was very snarky. She told me to power off the phone. I asked her if she knew how to do that. She told me to hold volume down button down and the power button. I told her no, that doesn't turn it off, it just reboots it. Continued to argue with me. Then she asks me how much battery is left. Tells me I have to wait until the battery is dead before I can do a factory reset then. Common sense would tell you that you can't do anything with a phone if the battery is dead. I told her she needs to go back into her manuals and learn how to do it bc there is absolutely no way that what she is saying will work. I was extremely angry at this point bc of the ignorance and lack of basic knowledge. I hung up on her, googled "how do I do a factory reset to on a locked screen of a Samsung Galaxy. The information came right up, I did exactly what it said to do. Took me all of 1 minute to locate. The incompetence of these foreign call center employees is ridiculous. And the language barrier doesn't help.
I wouldve left 0 stars if I could. I had to contact customer service nearly every time I wanted to connect. My device said I used 47 go out of 100 and she kept saying the only reason it wouldnt connect is if I used it all and I kept saying how much the device said I used. Completely ridiculous
Absolutely the worst service provider I have ever used. 4 calls and 1 hour and 27 minutes later and everybody gives a different answer, all of them is from India, its actually so sad to struggle like this with straight talk.
Phone got stolen. I reported it stolen. Someone started reactivating the phone and charging my account $60 after reporting it stolen 2 days before. Customer service laughed and hung up on me. Do not use this carrier if thinking about it.
Gotta agree Straight talk has gone to trash since switching to Verizon.
Worst customer service ever! Can't answer questions, let someone else on my account.
We should look to class action suit this company for meeting customer obligations.
