I was moments away from a crypto fraudster taking a large sum of money from me because they used sumsub.com as a verification - they said they were Etsy and I needed to verify my account with them before I could become a seller... Lucky the name of the bank account was crypto... Had to block my cars though
They literally have no costumer support. I was told by the platform that uses them to email them for not verifying me and instead of trying to fix the issue they just dismissed me entirely and told me to message the platform again and the platform told me the problem is on sumsub's side but they wouldn't even take a look while they know their system isn't foolproof and perfect and it makes a lot of mistakes. platform will lose their costumers when a vendor they work with has such a horrible customer support
I don't believe my data was stolen, at worst maybe sold to advertisers but that's done in spades behind our backs nowadays. It's almost impossible not to give out your personal data daily on the internet. My KYC was smooth and quick. I can now do bank transfer on csfloat and I could not be happier.
sumsub has to be a scam collecting documents for identity fraud or some other unlawful purpose because they refuse every type of ID saying the image is blurry or something else ridiculous when the same image can be verified at all the other id verification services. So they refuse the ID but appear to have stored all my government id and a selfie of me. I will be reporting this to the information commisioners office.
