I’ve had frustrating experiences with KYC verification before, so I wasn’t expecting much when I tried Sumsub. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the process was. The platform is designed to be intuitive, with clear instructions and helpful guidance. I was able to complete the entire process from my phone, including uploading documents and taking a selfie. The verification was done almost instantly, and I received notifications every step of the way. I’m very satisfied with Sumsub and will definitely use them again in the future.
Sumsub had a really nice flow which makes getting verified feel very smooth and seamless. I could do it all from my phone by taking pictures of my ID and doing the selfie checks. I accidentally uploaded an expired ID and was notified immediately so I could try again with my up to date ID. It was so quick and helpful. Definitely recommend.
I'm the reddit mod for sumsub and am delaing wiht creepy attacks. background i foudn on sumsub 1. Sumsub claims they are London based, no it's just a rent virtual office. 2. The UK registry for companies shows what appears to be a shell company next to the Russian Embassy in Limmasol Cyprus now has controlling interest. 3. The cyprus company has what appears to be 20 plus shell holding companies. 4. The companies that funded SumSum are connected to scary Oligarch types who are Putin Allies. 5. The names of the people connected to sumsub are also registered or were registered to shell companies in Cyprus and Panama.
This company is really troublesome. Some propfirms use this company as a third party to perform KYC, and I did my best to comply with all rules until I was asked to do KYC. My experience is that I failed KYC twice even though I provided all the necessary legal documents for verification. The worst part is that after being notified of verification failure, you can't communicate anything with Sumsub. Propfirms should not use the services of this company. It's very disappointing.
Registering on a crypto platform usually means dealing with long identity checks, so I expected a complicated process. Instead, Sumsub made it very straightforward. I submitted my ID and followed the selfie verification step directly on their interface. The system processed everything rapidly, and shortly after submitting my documents I got a notification that my verification had been approved. The entire process felt efficient and well designed.
We stopped using it for our own business (KYC) as they continued requesting documents from us after we made payment, and whatever we send, it was never enough: we never got out of the sandbox status and could not use the system. Much better systems available. Now I also used it to get our company through KYC: iot doesnt accept our address ... and I know our address exactly. Just dont waste your time with this system, they dont seem to know what they are asking and then will reject your customers.
Bad experience. They are easy with taking money from your credit card but then keep your account inactive ('in sandbox'). and the only way to get out of sandbox is to pay for a more expensive plan... or not, I didnt try it. I just canceled and will try to get the money paid back from my credit card company.
