I ordered a Tado relay + thermostats. After paying for installation the relay failed after ~2 months. It had to be uninstalled (more cost). Tado refunded me for the relay but they refuse to accept any responsibility for the Tado AI subscription which I paid for and which is now pretty much useless. Their response is contact Apple … not our problem. Pretty shoddy customer !?
I had a room thermostat in my previous apartment that delivered fantastic comfort! After moving to our new place, I experimented with various products but often felt too cold or too hot during the heating season. Eventually, we opted to purchase a thermostat for each radiator. Since then, for about a year during the heating season, our entire flat has been wonderfully cozy.
Overall positive experience. The thermostat is user-friendly and the app receives regular updates. However, the geofencing feature lacks consistency, and I wish it were rechargeable with a replaceable battery. Additionally, the keys and screen could benefit from proximity or touch-sensitive lighting. Lastly, the mounting could be more secure, as the thermostat can easily detach from its wall base.
Experiences regular disconnections despite proximity to the WiFi source. This leads to the heating system either ramping up to maximum or shutting down entirely without a manual option. Very disappointing system, definitely not recommended.
There are numerous user requests for added functionality that remain unaddressed:
1. The option to save heating setups, useful for those with irregular night shifts or for seasonal changes, or simply as backups.
2. A standalone, switchable power supply for external uses.
3. Water heating tailored to hot water availability or specific room temperatures. Additionally, they charge for geolocation features, which is frustrating. Now, they are also implementing charges for questionable AI features. It's disappointing because the installation process is genuinely DIY-friendly. Their support, however, is quite commendable.
Excellent products, flexible return policy, supportive assistance. I would definitely recommend the service; even the wireless radiator thermostats simplify achieving a balance between comfort and cost savings. The app and additional AI features are also impressive and provide great value.
My order was sent to an incorrect address in a different city, despite the summary showing the right location. When I reached out to the support team, they suggested I could collect my order from there (?!?). I requested either a refund or for my order to be delivered correctly, but they informed me that a reimbursement was not possible at this time.
This is my first review to voice my disappointment with the poor customer service from this company. I advise against purchasing their products, as there are many competitors who genuinely strive to address customer issues. I faced a troubling situation where the heating system repeatedly failed to activate, and the app was completely unresponsive. A plumber assessed the issue and identified a problem with the receiver; after disconnecting it, the boiler functioned properly. He suggested that if I contacted the company, they could investigate the matter and he could reinstall the system afterward. Reaching out to the customer service was incredibly frustrating. I was informed that the heating stopped working because I had deregistered the receiver, which was not true (I had made no changes to the app, which had operated without issues for years). They insisted I reinstall the device before considering any possible underlying issues, despite clear indications of a software problem. Ultimately, I am now facing the prospect of paying for an emergency plumber and having to install a completely new system due to the company's refusal to assist. If they are willing to rectify this situation, I would gladly revise my review.
I never thought about using a smart thermostat until now, but after a year, I can't imagine living without it. The convenience of adjusting the heating remotely is something I truly appreciate, and coming home to a warm space is a wonderful benefit.
