Review Time
I decided to go with Talkmobile because they rate their data speeds as good in most areas which includes EX5 2QR but it is NOT, it is rubbish, at best I can only get speeds of around 0.5Mbps which falls well below standards.
A family member also experiences the same problem with Talkmobile with a different phone but still at that same location.
I have tried to get Talkmobile to help resolve this and they just get you to reset settings on your phone which I have done time and time again but nothing works.
It's clear to me and others that in that area EX5 2QR there is a problem even though a search of the internet says that area is good.
Again it is NOT good and Talkmobile needs to send someone out there to test it for themselves but so far this is falling on death ears...
If it is not sorted out soon I will simply choose another provider!
I have ordered via U Switch various SIM card that have not arrived. I have tried emailing but no surprise the email address
bounced back as invalid email address!!!
I need to cancel these SIM cards as my mum passed away recently and my mental health is not at its best hence me emailing as I don't want to talk to anyone for hours getting nowhere.
I don't know the phone numbers as I have not received the SIM cards but apparently one of the accounts has been suspended. Not bothered not paying for something I never received. Help please.
The advisor had superior knowledge of my problem and was able to help with all the technicals. I really appreciated the straight forward instructions. Brilliant advisor, the best I have encountered from numerous telecommunications companies...Thank you Talk Mobile for employing such competant advisors...it makes all the difference. Left me feeling happy with the resolution instead of the usual seething with disappointment.
Iv been with Vodafone for quite a while now and paying stupid fees for a sim only deal, (Phone bought outright) i was paying about £17 a month coz there was some kind of discount applied which expired a few months ago. Anyway my bill then went up to £27 just for a sim card!! i contacted Vodafone and asked them to find a better price and they got me down to £14, which was still expensive but for the ease of not having to mess around changing providers i was willing to stay with them - then they said in April it will go upto £17 again! So i told them to cancel my plan, and found Talk Mobile on Money Supermarket for £5 for the exact same deal i was offered via Vodafone! I spoke To TM on their chat and they offered me two options with a £1 difference. Really helpful and advised me of the terms which i was happy with. Told me what to expect and when. Overall really happy with their service compared to bigger brands like Vodafone
The customer service guy had an excellent understanding of my problem. Seemed to have a technical knowledge of what might be causing the problem. Gave great information to help me reinstall the esim and relevant timescales when I need to do this.
Callcentre is abroad, but all reps I have chatted to have great communication skills, excellent use of written English and are always pleasant and responsive
Unhelpful customer support.
bought monthly contract in december for 10£, and I had to go abroad, but couldnt cancel the plan through the app as I wasnt using the sim, couldnt call them because I was unable to make international calls. Hence I removed my esim. Turned out they were charging me till now. Got an email that if I dont pay all the amount, they will ask debt collectors to take the payment. So i called them today, customer support was extremely rude and told me I have to pay full amount for two months and extra for cancelling plan in the middle of the month.
Completely disappointing service that failed to deliver, constantly shifting blame to others. After switching to this network, I immediately stopped receiving security code text messages. I reported this issue multiple times but was met with claims that everything was functioning properly, which felt dismissive and rude from their support team. I eventually switched to a reliable network, and the codes started coming through without issue. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this service. Additionally, they charged me for another month even after I canceled, and a month later, I still haven't received a refund. Truly unacceptable.
Great value when it works, but frustrating when it doesn't. Messages sometimes go through, but often they don’t, or they get delayed. The only option for contact is by phone if the online support is unavailable (which happens often), making it difficult for those needing written communication or for those who are hearing impaired. In other words, 404 page not found! STEER CLEAR
Truly exceptional service from this provider! Their service is consistently fast, their offers are incredibly attractive, and their representatives are genuinely pleasant both in chat and over the phone. I've tested many other options, but this company keeps me returning.
I strongly advise against using this service. I switched my number in July 2025 due to poor service, including the inability to use mobile data during calls. Now, five months later, they are incorrectly reporting missed payments on my credit file, even though my account should have been automatically closed upon leaving. They acknowledged the account is settled but refuse to remove the negative marks from my credit score, claiming it accurately reflects my history. It is not accurate to report missed payments for a service no longer provided. Their administrative mistakes are affecting people's lives, and I am now forced to escalate this issue to the Ombudsman.
