I appreciate the pace that my counselor took me on through my sessions. Our connections were never fully in sync each time, but that was minor. I do wish I had more time through my employment insurer, but it has been an insightful journey.
I was able to find a therapist who is available when I am—including Sunday afternoons. I’ve been meeting with her my therapist for almost 10 months. I feel like she’s very supportive and was willing to go through a workbook with me to help me in a topic she hadn’t studied.
I was lucky to connect really well with my therapist, Victoria, right at the start. I have been able to cover more ground with her thanks to the messaging session that keeps us connected between our talk sessions. Scheduling is always easy. I've had a few hiccups with audio, having lost connection if someone tries to call me during a session. But I think the tech issues are solvable with the correct phone settings. I've really enjoyed the format overall and my therapist is excellent.
It has been a great platform. The only thing that is frustrating is not necessarily even talkspace's fault, and that is insurance companies not being clear about the copays and what would count. Making costs clearer via insurance sooner would be helpful.
Talkspace app is functional and my provider is capable but if you have a problem with the service the customer service is awful if you get helped at all. I had a credit and I was rescheduling an appointment that my provider missed and she sent me a better appointment after I had already rescheduled. By mistake I booked it without cancelling my first rescheduled appointment and I accidentally paid instead of cancelling the old one first and using the credit. I have now paid twice for the same appointment.
My error, no big deal I'll just inform customer service and get a refund for the extra time I paid, no big deal right? Well that was 8 days ago! Nobody has gotten back to me! Talkspace owes me $175 and is dodging me!
I pay out of pocket for this service so when errors like this happen it's very significant to me.
Terrible experience! They claimed I had no deductible and unlimited visits. During a very challenging period in my life, after several months of multiple sessions each month, I began receiving charges for my visits. When I inquired, I discovered I was out of network and not covered. This has resulted in thousands of dollars in costs, and they won't even provide a payment plan to alleviate the burden. Even my therapist is taken aback by how poorly they have handled this situation.
Extremely disappointing experience! I reached out to cancel immediately after signing up when I found out I couldn't select my therapist. My request was closed without any response, leaving the issue unresolved. They charged me twice without me ever using their service, and when I reached out to the support team, they simply provided a link to contact them again through the same method I had already used. It felt like I would just be caught in a loop of submitting tickets and receiving replies to submit even more, and I risked being charged indefinitely unless I contacted my bank about this.
