Our sales associate Bill was AWESOME…

Our sales associate Bill was AWESOME and gave us top notch service. He was professional and he helped us furnish two rooms in our home via two separate transactions because after purchasing one sofa, as we were leaving we saw a livingroom set and made an additional purchase. We were charged $199 for a delivery charge for the first sofa and we were charged an add'l $399 delivery charge for the second sofa, for a grand total of $600 in delivery charges. When we asked for an adjustment we were told by a manager that the charge would be refunded but Mikeala the "so called" GM refused to accommodate us to remove the $199 delivery charge for the first sofa even though we paid a higher delivery charge for the White glove delivery service overall. MIkeala would only refund $36 and blamed it on owner policy. The next day due to the pending snow storm, I contacted a company that I had hired to remove my old furniture so that I could delay the scheduled pick up. I had already spoken to a representative at The Dump and was told that they could not give me a reschedule date for my delivery. As a result, I asked the company that I hired to remove my old furniture if they could also pick up my new furniture from The Dump and deliver to us for an extra fee and they said yes! So I cancelled the delivery with The Dump and requested my $600 delivery charge be refunded to me and that is when my troubles began! Mikaela the GM called the warehouse and blocked delivery order that I paid for, stating it was a customer request. She illegally withheld my order for over 3 hours until the owners were notified and got involved. The 3 hour delay resulted in the delivery company not leaving the Williamsburg warehouse until after 3:30pm and leaving our home until after 9pm. We tried to return our order before it left the warehouse and take our business elsewere but Mikaela denied the return. We wShe harassed us for the delivery companyc we our hired because as she said " she didn'tlike them," was very argumentative, hung up on my husband, had our delivery blocked and delayed, and stressed us out for 3 days, all over a $600 delivery charge that we should not have been charged for, an inflated ego and poor management skills. Mikaela Melso was unjustly discriminatory, revengeful, abrasive, and threatening. I have reached out several times to upper management and have not received a courtesy response from the Regional Alex even though he has said he would address the issue. I have been a loyal customer both personally and professionally for over 14 years with Haynes and The Dump when customer service used to mean something. A "General Manager" is supposed to set the bar and exemplify honor in the brand they work for. Mikeala Melso did none of this and I am tired of paying for bad service. I no longer support the Haynes brand going forward and will gladly take my and my client's business elsewhere so long as she is a part of it. Overall, I like my furniture but I would have paid more elsewhere for better service. Do better Haynes!!

I purchased furniture on line biggest mistake from the dump it was delivered July 27 on July 28 I contacted customer service and told them the furniture was the most uncomfortable furniture I have ever sat on it’s like a rock and ask to return it or exchange it for something we can actually sit on the customer service person told me no refunds for buyers remorse or comfort I asked for a Manager but never could get a number for a manager now $5000 later I will never order on line and never go shop at the dump

Beware

Beware! We purchased a sofa from there and when it was delivered it the middle seat cushion sagged, a good bit. The Dump sent two different technicians to our house. Both of the technicians said the same thing, that the frame was not made correctly and needed to be replaced or repaired. After not hearing anything for a while, we contacted customer support at The Dump. We were told that both technicians said that everything was fine with the sofa and it was just our perception. After telling them what we were told by both technicians, and that we had proof of what the second technician had said, were told that they couldn’t do anything about it. They will not replace or refund our money. We will NEVER shop there again and will tell everyone we know about the situation. Unless you want to waste your money, don’t purchase anything from there!

THE DUMP doesn't stand by their warranty

We have purchased furniture from the Dump for several years now. We have been very happy with the quality and price of these items, especially with a huge bookcase, a king mattress and bed platform. We have spent well over $10,000 there over the years. However, we are very disappointed with the quality of the bed (a fabric headboard with footboard) also purchased. We have never purchased an extended warranty as it is usually not worth the price. We had a complaint about the quality of the footboard as it made a loud cracking sound, like crushing an empty two-liter plastic bottle, when I sat on it ONCE to put on my socks. I weigh 175 lbs. When I called, within 120 days of purchase--still under warranty, a technician/specialist was sent out, at my expense, to evaluate it. After calling over and over for a response to the evaluation (we waited well over 4 weeks for this), he said that I had damaged the item by sitting on it and that they would not repair or replace it. NO WHERE did it give us a warning not to sit on the footboard! Are these things that fragile? Of less significance but important, when the frame was delivered, we noticed that the tufting on the headboard was off by 1 1/2 inches on one side vs the other. We were told that this is within the manufacturers tolerance. (The same furniture at the store made no sounds when I sat on the footboard before we purchased ours and the tufting was lined up symmetrically.) THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!! They ended their communication via text stating "We will be unable to approve any exchanges for this piece and will not be assisting further. Thank you." Sad.

Deceptive advertising

Advertise by sending you invitation to big sale, talking about Mitchell Gold products with free tax weekend and shipping, then you get there and they tell you they are excluded. Uncooperative manager who doesn’t get that they didn’t say that anywhere. Salespeople says it’s happened a bunch with this sale. They should own their mistake and honor the flyer. Deception in advertising. And we were customers who purchased rugs and items over the years. I’m done there. Worse with the manager not even responding.

They don't stand behind new sale

I purchased a $5,000 couch from here. It cam with a rip, stitching was coming off and one of the recliners wasn't working properly. It took them a month to get out her from the new purchase. They want to glue the rip instead of replacing the damaged furniture. Then they want to take the couch apart and see if they can put an entire new mechanism in the recliner. Stitching is bad not going to fix that properly. BEWARE OF THIS STORE. THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THERE NEW PRODUCTS. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

The Dump - be warned

In store customer service is good. Store hours are inexcusably unpredictable and don’t match what’s on website. They’re closed at times they say they’re open. Telephone customer service is all but non-functional. Delivery is a joke - big deal about scheduling and then it comes when it comes. Skip it was or bring it home yourself the day you buy it.
