A warning for anyone thinking of flying with this airline. On December 30, I took a flight from Tokyo to Taipei. Since the airline doesn't allow checked baggage purchases within 4 hours of departure, I couldn't add baggage before arriving at the airport. To make matters worse, their website was incredibly difficult to navigate, and I couldn't reach customer support due to their automated system. At the airport, I was quoted over $400 for one checked bag and one carry-on. After discarding personal items to reduce weight, I still had to pay $292.17 to board. For comparison, the same baggage would have cost around $80 if bought online earlier. What frustrated me even more was a staff member's dismissive attitude, saying, 'this is not my problem.' My girlfriend was singled out to re-weigh her bag, while others were not treated the same. I tried to reach out to them afterward, but they claimed it would take 4 hours to process a bag for a credit card transaction online, yet they could process payments at the airport up to 30 minutes before the flight. This isn't just poor service; it's a forced charge due to inconsistent policies. I share this to help other travelers make informed choices. I will not fly with this airline again.
I traveled from one country to another in September 2024, and it was a disaster. Easily one of my worst flying experiences. I had an issue with my carry-on luggage. I’ve traveled with other airlines without any issues, but this airline insisted my carry-on was too large, which was absurd. They charged me a ridiculous fee of $47.50 for it! I just wanted to say goodbye to a friend at the gate, but instead, I had to deal with this nonsense. Their poor customer service and unreasonable policies ruined what should have been a smooth trip. Trust me—stay away from this airline.
Extremely predatory behavior. While the tickets might be cheap, the check-in counter is a nightmare. Everything you carry is treated as extra luggage. Even my jacket wrapped around my waist was considered a carry-on, and they tried to charge me for it. They wouldn’t let me put my jacket in my actual carry-on bag. I also had issues with my carry-on bag, as they claimed it was too big, even though it fit in their measurement cage. After showing them that, they measured it again and insisted it was 0.5cm oversized. The squish factor of bags should be considered in their measurements.
I want to share my disappointing experience to warn others. The airline recently advertised a sale for flights from one location to another for summer 2024. Excited, I quickly decided to book a ticket for myself with one piece of luggage, planning to book a separate ticket for my son. However, when I returned to the website, I found I couldn't book a ticket for a minor without including an adult in the same transaction. This crucial detail wasn't mentioned anywhere during booking. When I contacted customer service, they said they couldn’t cancel my ticket for a new combined booking. Instead, I was offered the option to buy new tickets over the phone at a much higher price. As a result, I lost my original ticket due to their non-refundable policy, which I agreed to without knowing about the minor travel restriction. To travel with my son, I had to buy new tickets, including an additional luggage fee. This experience felt deeply unfair. The airline's lack of transparency and refusal to provide a solution left me frustrated. To make matters worse, my original seat was resold, and I received no refund. I hope my experience helps others avoid a similar situation.
I had the worst check-in experience. I couldn't check in online and ended up paying double at the airport! The staff didn’t honor the website pricing due to issues with their site. The ridiculous part was that I couldn't pay for a 20 kg luggage at the airport; only options were 15 or 30 kg! As a frequent traveler, I do not recommend this airline at all.
I want a full cash refund! They canceled my flight and I had requested a credit refund, but now I want my cash back. It's been too long without a response. Please confirm that you can process my full refund immediately, as this is due to their negligence.
My husband and I flew on a flight recently. Before boarding, we were asked to weigh our bags. The scales showed 7kg for both items, which we had checked before arriving. However, a rude staff member insisted we pay extra to board because we were over the limit. We asked to weigh again, but she dismissed us. We were forced to pay and nearly missed our flight.
