Do not touch this company. We signed up through school and have had no lessons since December. The company have continued to take payments and have offered a 30min online lesson instead of face to face! For a 6 year old. They are refusing a refund, their email reply’s are repeated nonsense. I have been asked 3 times to confirm I want to quit when I have asked 4 times to quit. Even school are terminating the service as ‘they are unreliable and inconsistent’. Such a shame as teacher was nice. I am sure she is leaving due to company incompetence.

I am a professional drum tutor and spent the last year and a half working for Totally Rad at a primary school. I have worked for multiple organisations across Greater Manchester and the Midlands and this is the worst company I have ever worked for by far. They consistently pay late (I'm currently waiting on an invoice from September), are terrible at communicating both with parents and teachers (I've emailed them about the aforementioned invoice 6 times) and are just generally very unethical; shortly before I left they were implementing a new online teaching system without consulting teachers first whether they had the facilities or desire to deliver lessons this way.Whomever the CEO and management of this company are should be ashamed for the way they treat staff, students and parents alike. The only reason I stayed for longer than I needed to is because I valued my relationship with the school and students so much. If they continue these kind of practices I think they will inevitably go bankrupt or end up in court.
Wish I could give it zero stars. Continuous cancelled lessons due to tutors leaving (I've learnt that the company are terrible at paying the tutors correctly which is why they all leave), no refund is issued for missed lessons, they just "roll it forward", but this is no good when they go weeks/months before finding the next tutor. I ended up cancelled my daughters' piano and guitar lessons, was already paid up three months in advance, so emailed them to this effect and to cancel my subscription. Having read other peoples reviews, I then took the proactive step to block any further payments from leaving my bank, via contacting my bank myself. Lucky that I did because they repeated attempt (to this day) to collect £94 payments multiple times a week, and then hound me with emails that my payment has been unsuccessful and for me to log in and pay. I've responded several times referencing my previous cancellation email but continue to be harassed. They're awful and they're about to change their name to MY MUSIC LESSONS because of the terrible reputation they now have. Steer clear!
I’ve had a very poor experience with Totally RAD Music from start to finish. Communication and administration have consistently been disorganised, tutors have failed to turn up for scheduled lessons, and the quality of teaching has been inconsistent, with the sole exception of my son’s most recent tutor, who was excellent and the only positive part of our experience. When I cancelled my son’s lessons due to him leaving primary school, my written notice was ignored and I was billed anyway. Instead of refunding the overpayment, the company refused and simply credited it to my daughter’s account without consent.More recently, after giving written 12-week notice to cancel my daughter’s lessons, Totally RAD continued to take payment beyond the agreed period, and despite providing clear evidence, they have refused to acknowledge their error or issue a refund. The way this has been handled is unprofessional and unethical. I’m sharing this so that other parents are aware before signing up. In my experience, this company’s administration and accountability are extremely poor, and I would not recommend them.
We used Totally Rad Music for piano lessons for our child delivered at his school. After moving to a new area and changing schools, my child could no longer attend, so I contacted the company to cancel and request a refund for unused lessons.Despite our repeated attempts, they refused to refund for lessons not received, citing a strict no-refund policy. Payments were taken automatically before invoices were issued, and some amounts didn’t even match the invoices. We were also told by the company that we could cancel anytime if the child was leaving, which makes their refusal to refund even more confusing. The billing and refund practices are stressful and unfair, and I would advise parents to be very cautious before committing.
They take your money, do not deliver sessions and then ignore you when you ask for a refound. Will look into what can be done through the law to get our money back. When they were delivering lessons they often cancelled and did not go ahead with lessons. Very unprofessional
