Do not buy 2. hand Toyota Certified Vehicle from Woburn Toyota.

I bought one, right before a year end, I have "shift system malfunction" appeared on my dash. A part related to transmission failed.
They quoted 1836 dollar to fix it. Even though I have extended power train and hybrit system warranty.
My advisor said that failed part is not covered under anything. Which is wrong because when I look it up, other people that have the same failure is repaired under warranty. It's not a brake actuator or ac compressor, it's a part of the transmission and it has to be under warranty.
But Toyota Woburn doesn't want to pay for it.
But here is the funny part:
I asked my advisor that if I had this problem the NEXT DAY I bought the car, would you still charge me 1836 dollar?
First he hesitated to answer but when I asked 2. Time, he said yes, I would have to pay.
They are nice people, but business is business.
So, stay away from 2. hand cars. Toyota certified warranty means nothing on most scenario. Go get it from somewhere else.

Disappointing Custom Build Experience

I used the build site to customize my vehicle, but when I went to acquire the SUV, I was told I could only select from what the company offered. What's the purpose of a build site if I can't get what I want? The dealerships were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in my business, knowing that others would buy their inventory. Overall, the service was disappointing; it appears customer satisfaction is no longer a priority.

Disappointing Experience with the Build Process

I accessed the build site and designed my vehicle. However, when I tried to get the SUV I wanted, I was told I had to settle for what the company offered. What's the purpose of a build site if I can't get my desired vehicle? The dealerships were also unhelpful and seemed indifferent to gaining my business, knowing that others would buy what they had. Overall, the service was lacking; it feels like customer satisfaction is no longer valued.

Frustrated with Remote Start Feature

During this cold winter, I find it absurd that I can't utilize the remote start on my vehicle without paying for an app! It's incredibly frustrating that a feature on an expensive car requires ongoing payments after the trial period ends. Due to this issue alone, I've decided to look for a different vehicle. My first experience with this brand has been quite disappointing.

Unacceptable Service from Local Dealerships

I've been attempting to purchase a specific model from local dealerships for about a month and a half. Initially, they informed me there were no vehicles available, which I accepted as normal. However, they refused to allow me to pay a deposit for future stock. I found it frustrating that vehicles produced nearby couldn’t be viewed until they arrived at the dealership. After agreeing to wait, I called on the specified date only to find no vehicles in the desired trim. This lack of organization and care for customers is disheartening. I considered filing a complaint but found that previous complaints had gone unanswered. It's disappointing to see such poor service from a well-known brand.

Concerns About Future Models

I'm beginning to wonder if it's the end for vehicles from this brand. I've noticed they are using more plastic components where the engine is located. Nonetheless, the cars remain reliable and fuel-efficient.

High Reliability of Japanese Cars

Japanese cars are among the most reliable on the market. Regardless of what other manufacturers do, few can match their quality and durability. They last for many years with minimal issues, and even after high mileage, essential parts remain in good condition. The newer models also feature advanced technology comparable to European brands. They offer solid, affordable, and high-quality vehicles.

Extremely Poor Customer Experience

This review concerns a branch in France, but the company as a whole should be held accountable. The experience was one of the worst of my life. After losing both parents, my wife was left with a vehicle from this brand. Despite multiple messages and emails, we received no response. When we attempted to return the car, they refused, citing various excuses. It was only after we insisted that someone returned from vacation to allow us to leave the vehicle. The finance department's demands were unreasonable, especially during such a difficult time. This company lacks empathy and resorts to deceitful practices to profit from unfortunate situations.

Ongoing Transmission Issues

I imported a 2016 model from the United States, and it has developed transmission problems that affect its performance. After discovering a known defect, I reached out to the company for assistance and have been waiting nearly three months for a response. Despite the frustrating wait, I remain hopeful that they will address my concerns and provide a resolution.
