Review Time
I brought my Toyota RAV4 to Toyota Sandyford for a full service for the first time, and I was very disappointed with the experience.
The service felt rushed, more like a quick check than a proper full service. The next day, I started having problems unlocking my car doors. I checked the key battery, and it was fine, but the issue continued for over a week.
When I contacted the service reception, the staff seemed unsure and didn’t clearly understand or address the problem I was explaining. This made the situation even more frustrating.
Additionally, I had specifically requested that the transmission oil be checked/changed and that the front suspension be inspected. It appears these were either not done properly or not done at all.
Overall, I would not recommend this service centre, especially for people who are not knowledgeable about car mechanics, as it does not inspire confidence that requested work is carried out correctly.

If you wish to be spoken to like an idiot and have your Toyota new vehicle defects ignored, then probably Grandons Garage is "Simply the Best" for this. The salesman and the owner declined to even meet with me to discuss the problems we were experiencing and eventually we were left with no other option but to return the two Toyota vehicles as not being fit for purpose under the Sale of Goods Act. Toyota Irl then confirmed that Grandons or themselves had neither any interest or intention of rectifying the faults in one of the Vehicles. Overall, an appalling Garage to Deal with. My advice, Stay well away.
My first and last Toyota - their customer service is absolutely appalling. Emails go unanswered, complaints go ignored. I recently tried to get one of the free services that are part of the package with a new car and their representatives were unhelpful to the point of abrasiveness. They clearly don’t value repeat customers and they certainly won’t be getting one here.
I bought a BZ4X at the start of 2025, nice car to drive and customers like it (Taxi)!!!! Whoever is in charge of tech & customer service should be fired immediately, I’ve had so many issues with the software I could pull what little hair I have out, the car keeps dumping me out of the radio/control system, I’d log in, and that takes a couple of minutes, but after a day or two it doesn’t recognise you and you have to repeat 2-3 times a week! The app controlled climate control works when it feels like it, doesn’t connect to the vehicle at least 50% of the time, very annoying when the weather is freezing, what’s the point in having this feature when it doesn’t work properly!The radio graphics disabled with each song on DAB doesn’t work either, also very annoying!!!!When I highlighted my issues with Toyota they couldn’t care less, they may be mechanically reliable (Time Will Tell) but from a software/customer experience the brand and their representatives should be ashamed!!!!!!
Went to the local garage in Letterkenny as was interested in a new toyota hybrid. The sales person took my car for a drive and checked it over. I asked for a written quote of what the final cost would be. He presented me with the quote without asking what colour or type of paint I wanted. It was very easy to decide then that this was not a garage I wanted to deal with. I the customer was not getting a choice on what I wanted. It seemed like he had a specific car he wanted rid of.
Not happy at all.I rang with a question about my toyota and how I had already contacted my local toyota dealer here in Donegal and the person on the phone tried ti fob me off by saying -Do you know this is head office your calling ,and i replied yes ....and I wouldn't be calling head office if my local office would take the time to help me ,they then said they would contact my local dealer regarding my query, but im still waiting ,looks like to me they only interested if your looking to buy a new car or there is a recall ,I was actually going to change my car but now I won't be going there .
