If you want a successful hair transplant and a great experience, ask specifically for Dr Elgindi.Although healing is different for everyone, after 3 days of surgery I had already healed to results expected in 5 or 6 days, experiencing close to 0 swelling. Which is down to expert surgical technique and anaesthetic application. I personally believe he is overqualified to be a hair transplant surgeon, especially after hearing his previous experience in vastly more complex surgical fields, not to mention the process of the surgery and experience was an unforgettable day of great craic.Patient coordinator Chelsea is amazing, and I was made to feel comfortable by technicians Molly and Jude as soon as I arrived, relieving all my pre surgery anxiety.Also if you are transgender like myself and looking for results with minimal margins for error, I fully recommend this surgeon for this procedure, as he operates on trans people at least twice a month, and with cisgender males and females consistently; Meaning he is excellent at advising and helping choose the right hairline shape for you, be you masculine or feminine.I was so surprised to find the whole surgery team to be such great fun, and I could not have seen this going so well - I'm overwhelmingly excited for the future, I cannot thank this team enough, absolutely life changing. I had my surgery yesterday and it couldn’t have gone any better. The team made me feel very relaxed and comfortable during the whole procedure. Tetiana was my surgeon and she was so lovely from start to finish and as well the whole team. Chelsea my coordinator has been great and has kept in contact with me from the run up to my surgery and post surgery, giving me tips and dos and don’t. I’m excited to start seeing results. I would recommend anyone who was ever in doubt to take the plunge and get the transplant.
Ahead the surgery I was sent emails and texts with reminders of what to do (and not do) which was really useful. The surgery went very well, Dr Elgindi talked through all the stages as they happened, and the result (now 2 days post OP) is looking good - the grafts coverage looks good, is close to the original hairline and there's almost no redness or pain. I was given an explanation of the aftercare required right after the operation was finished, and then a leaflet with the same info, as well as a pack containing the ncessary aftercare products. I'd advise taking a few days off work (even if you work from home) as I've had poor sleep the past 2 nights due to the 45-degree sleeping position you must use to avoid grafts damage (1 week).The only unplesant part of the OP day was walking back to the car park after the surgery (you will look very strange, although it's obvious you've had a hair surgery) - which would be avoidable with planning (taxi pickup, etc).
Everyone involved in the process has been extremely helpful since the start. Chelsea my patient coordinator is usually fast to respond to any queries I have and My surgeon Dr Tetiana and her team were very professional and accommodating. Everything seems to have gone well so far and I hope for some great results.
I felt that the experience was excellent. From the regular contact of the Patient Coordinator, keeping me informed both pre and post operation, to the friendly and professional staff at the surgery itself. The surgeon was very personable, and I felt at ease asking him questions. I would certainly recommend UK Hair to others for their hair loss needs.
