Do NOT panic about pain or needles.

I'm 24 years old and had my hair transplant with UK Hair on the 10th of November 2023. I got ~2,300 grafts.Hopefully this review helps people calm their nerves and be less scared about the entire procedure. If you're nervous of any pain or discomfort, DON'T BE.When I first went ahead to get my hair transplant, I had a video consultation with Nigel. This lasted about 10-15 minutes, he explained the cost and how the procedure would work with me. He made the process simple and answered any questions I had. He recommended I start taking Finasteride, so I decided to go ahead with this - please ask about any side effects to Nigel, there are some people may be concerned about it, but I wasn't so much & I have suffered no side effects from this at all. This is also where you will pay your deposit and be quoted for your grafts.A few weeks later, I then attended my in person consultation in Glasgow. The only issue I had here is that I found out I needed more grafts than initially quoted, so I had to pay a large additional sum of money. Luckily I had money saved, so wasn't so much of a problem - but definitely could be for less fortunate people. Paul, who did this consultation was professional and checked my donor area to ensure I was a suitable candidate for this procedure. I was only here for around 10 minutes and it was another easy process. Then, on the 10th of November, I went in for my surgery in Manchester, extremely nervous, so much so I was shaking. Dr Tatianna and her team are extremely welcoming and will make you feel at ease as well as answer any questions that you have. Before the procedure she drew out my desired hairline to my needs and then gave me some antibiotics and diazepam. You then lay face down and the anaesthetic is injected into the back of your head a few times. To anyone reading this worried, please don't. You will feel a very, very slight nip of the anaesthetic, but the needle itself is painless. After this is done, the donor extraction is literally painless - I felt nothing. This part took around 2.5 hours in my case and it's just a case of moving on your back and sides a few times so that the Doctor can extract. Once this part is done, you then get anaesthetic on the top of your head and you get to watch a film of your choice. They then made incisions (took about 20 minutes I'd say). The anaesthetic and needle are again, very slightly nippy, but very bearable. Again, after this, everything is absolutely painless. After the incisions they implanted the grafts, I suppose how long this takes depends on how many grafts you get, but in my case it was about 3.5 hours - it flies in when you're watching a film. After that, the surgery is over and in my experience there was absolutely no pain whatsoever up until now, 1 week later. The worst part of it for me, was the swelling, this is painless but extremely annoying. It travelled down my face for about 2 days, then entirely disappeared. This will happen to anyone though who gets this surgery, but again, no pain in the aftercare process. After 1 week, I am now in routine of washing my hair gently (and finally off of that neck pillow), but the difference I can already see in my hairline is crazy, the results really are good. Chelsea, my coordinator has called me a good few times to catch up and answer any questions I have, which has been a great help.I hope this review helps someone who might be as nervous as I was before any of this, but trust me, none of it is as bad as you're thinking - especially the needles, which you won't even see.If it lets me, I will update this review monthly :)Thank you again to UK Hair, Dr Tatianna and her team, as well as Chelsea.

My experience was made great by very nice and competent staff. The procedure went smoothly, everything was explained and the aftercare has been very comforting to have. There was no pain or discomfort during the procedure and I am very satisfied with the results at this time

Highly reccommend.

Everyone in the clinic were great. Every receptionist I spoke to were lovely and very helpful towards me. The three doctors that done my hair transplant were some of the nicest, friendliest doctors I've ever met who quickly put any worries I had at ease. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hair transplant as it's very affordable and safe. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had surgery 2 days ago in Manchester…

Had surgery 2 days ago in Manchester with Dr Elgindi,Mollie, Ali and the rest of the team (sorry but I can't remember names) they were all brilliant and made me feel at ease, injections were a bit painful but it was worth it I felt so relaxed with Dr Elgindi is a brilliant surgeon and also a lovely man who is so easy to talk too. On the day I was supposed to have 1530 graphs but in the end I had 1701 graphs .From my first video call with Nigel who was brilliant and then meeting Ashleigh who also was brilliant and my patient co-ordinator Chelsea who has gone above and beyond with everything from the start of this journey to the present as she has been in contact everyday to see how I am and advise on the aftercare I can't thank you enough. I travelled to Manchester on the Sunday and they put me up in a really nice hotel (motel one) had my surgery at 13.00 on the Monday and it was all finished by 18.00.my hairline looks amazing and I can't wait to see the end results. A brilliant company and a brilliant team and I would highly recommend anyone to use uk hair transplant.

Poor company

These reviews are a good few years after my actual procedures , but since that time has past iv had time to reflect and also seen a lot of my friends get much better results in Turkey and for a fraction of the price I got charged , so I want to make people aware of ukhairtransplantclinics and how they operate. My first procedure was a F.U.T for 1800 grafts back in November 2016 on which I was quoted £3900 ,, I found that very expensive at the time and if it were now I’d obviously never pay that , but we’r going back 7 years ago and they definitely weren’t as common as they are now. My procedure was in Nottingham and my surgeon on the day was a doctor Harris Haseeb , who I will say seemed good but the communication between the clinic and himself was dreadful , all he had to go on one was one grainy black and white photo of my hair and no other information at all , so he can only work with what he’s got I suppose. The procedure also seemed rushed and it didn’t look like I had received 1800 grafts. As soon as I was done it almost seemed like they wanted me out of there as soon as possible , which then made sense as upon being ushered out the surgery there was another patient waiting to go in , so that’s obviously why. Then that was me I received a small bag with some antibiotics , sent on my way and got told I’d have a 6 month review “on which on the 6 month mark” I actually had to contact them , as they didn’t get back in touch with me. I followed all the after care treatment , but for what ever reason my treatment wasn’t a success , and I couldn’t help but think I’d just wasted £3900. So after a lot of going back and fourth ukhairtransplantclinics agreed that it hadn’t “fully” worked out , in other words they meant a certain percentage of the grafts had set but a lot hadn’t as well. So the options they gave me were another F.U.T procedure , we’re they’d reopen my scar and give me 1000 grafts for free , or they would give me a F.U.E procedure also for 1800 grafts at a additional cost of £2500.I wasn’t keen on having my scar re-opened so I reluctantly went for option 2 , baring in mind the total cost is now at £6400! So after an initial meeting a few months prior , come January 2019 I went for my second procedure with a Dr Vikas Kunnure , In Manchester. like Dr Harris he seemed ok , but that rushed element seemed present again and it’s as if they were on a timeline to get it done. After the procedure he told me that they managed to actually fit 2200 grafts , instead of the 1800 but I really struggled to see this as there were big spaces he had left and I remember asking him about this and he assured me it would be fine…. my case manager at the time a “Judith bainbridge” assured me that after the 18 month mark the full results would show , well it’s fair to say they never did! It’s also worth noting About a year after my procedure , there was an article in the Sun newspaper about surgeons leaving bad hair transplants within the U.K and Dr Vikas Kunnure was mentioned. Now I’m fully aware you can’t believe everything you read in the paper and especially all be it the Sun , but it certainly didn’t do anything for my confidence seeing this. I’m sure the article will still be online if you search for it. You also soon find out that a lot of these surgeons work on a self employed “agency” basis to such company’s like ukhairtransplantclinics and don’t actually work for them full time! It wasn’t until recently that i’d seen a few of my mates who’d had procedures done in Turkey , that I realise how ripped of I was! I’m not saying my grafts were incorrectly planted , I just know they didn’t put in as much as they charged me for , and For £6400 I’v basically got nothing to show for it and could have gone over to Turkey and got close to 10,000 grafts for that price , and from what iv seen with my own eyes the results are brilliant. Paul and Nigel who you have your consultations with are nice enough guys , but again they’re just “salesmen” please don’t misinterpret these guys for experts , as they really aren’t. All you are to them is a £ sign and they get commission on every patient who books up through them , all they do is tell you what you want to hear instead of being honest. Why iv waited a few years to leave this review I can’t honestly answer , maybe I just stupidly thought the longer I waited that the hair mite eventually come in.I also personally opted against taking “finasteride” due to the possible side affects that come with them. Again they’ll try convince you that it’s only a “small” percentage that suffer from it , but I’d definitely advise anyone to do there own research first before taking it as the side effects can be irreversible once started. If they try to remove my review as well , il keep re-posting it as I paid this company £6400 so I’m more than entitled to my honest review and opinion on them as a company and my experience. God bless Kevin

Not only are you protected by the fact that we are clinically governed but also because we offer a unique treatment guarantee. We are one of the only clinics in the UK that offers and upholds a guarantee on every hair transplant. We are able to do this as we are selective on those we think are suitable candidates for surgery. From the thousands of consultations we have done over the years only 40% of them are suitable for surgery as in our opinion suitable means being able to achieve a great result.

If we deem you are unsuitable for hair transplant, this doesn’t mean there is nothing we can do for you, we have a wide range of non-surgical solutions we can offer. If you are just starting to thin we can offer products to lower the chance of you losing anymore or if you have receded to a Norwood 7 there’s alternative ways to create coverage.
