Review Time
Customer service is pitiful at best. Any reviews that say otherwise are paid reviews. It takes 48 hours to get a reply from CS and another 48 hours for each exchange. I’ve been going back and forth to trying to understand the status of my order with little to no help from ulanzi. I’ve tried calling the company to no avail. Their cs number on their website doesn’t connect and the second number I found on their site via a google search was answered by a screaming man who hung up on me. If anyone doubts this review, try calling the company yourself and see first hand.
item never came yet (they didn't inform me I had to find out for myself) then they said I had to send the item back to receive a refund. How do you return an item you never received? I asked them this question and it's nearly been two weeks of no response. They told me to reach out to the courier which said 2 day response time and it's also been nearly two weeks. Moral of the story use paypal because you can get your money back very quickly.
I ordered a product that ended up being delayed due to manufacturing and tariff delays. By all accounts, I should’ve been disappointed by the wait time. However, I reached out and was pleased to find a real human with understanding and kindness. In fact, I reached out a few times for updates, and each time was met with an unexpected apology and offer to be refunded if I’d preferred. In a world with increasing expectations of immediate delivery and less human interaction with customer service, I found it rewarding to receive real responses to real concerns. For me, that was all I needed. The product also met my quality expectations after it arrived, so this review deserves the stars I’m giving it.
I placed an order for a tripod; after 2-3 weeks of no shipping information, I contacted them to check on it, and was informed that the item was back ordered and wouldn't be available for another month. This was definitely annoying. However, their support was very prompt, and cancelled and refunded the order very quickly.
I ordered 2 Ulanzi LED lights for $160 CDN and instead received 2 DC-to-USB charging cables.Edit: I received the lights themselves a week later. It would have been nice to get a heads up that the lights would be shipped separately. Regardless, I'm quite satisfied with the products.
If I could give ZERO stars, I would.I ordered a teleprompter directly from Ulanzi’s website and realized within 10 minutes that I no longer needed it. I immediately tried to cancel the order – but guess what? They don’t even have a cancellation option on their website. Zero flexibility, zero support.Despite reaching out right away, they shipped the product anyway. Now that I have received it – completely UNOPENED and in its original packaging – they are flat-out refusing to accept a return. This is beyond unacceptable.Let’s talk about the product itself. Even without opening it, based on the reviews and complaints I’ve seen from others, it’s clear Ulanzi prioritizes cheap build quality and flashy marketing over actual value. And when it comes to their customer service? PATHETIC. Arrogant, unhelpful, and hiding behind a no-return policy that makes zero sense for unopened items.A good company would’ve respected the customer’s prompt cancellation request and at least allowed a return. Ulanzi? They seem more interested in trapping buyers than serving them.Save yourself the headache. Don’t fall for the hype. Shop elsewhere.
Really glad to report a follow up to my last review and Ulanzi have refunded the cost of one of the stands and are prepared to refund the remainder on completion of this 2nd review. The stands apparently were destroyed which is bizarre.But I am very grateful to Ulanzi for restoring my faith in them as a supplier. Thank you so much Ulanzi
