Worst customer service ever, products might be good, but service, oooh. I will never buy anything from them, since I figured this company exists I bought $700 worth of equipment, but it’s over! I was trying to return item and just see what they told me “ I don't recommend you to return the item because, it takes a long time and you have to fill in the customs declaration”Are you for real? You don’t recommend me? Also the address “From” was in California not in China, why would I need it to send to China? I got package from California and I want to return to California.
They dutifully refunded me within an hour of contacting them when I made a purchase in error as my card details were on their system.Their site is in German so I have to constantly keep changing the language to English & the payment page reverts to German so errors can easily be made if you're unable to manually translate the text.
I had ordered this item by mistake as I was trying to see if my delivery address was acceptable. sure enough this order went through. so I wrote to them to cancel this order which they promptly did. last week I have been trying to order the BP10 bag but it declines the delivery address. its funny how I can order a tripod but I cannot order a bag.As per Ulanzi reply that the bag is out of stock is not true as I had several emails to them and their reply was that the logistics partner cannot ship to my address. But any other item can be shipped. Does not make sense. There was another person who had the same issue as he wrote in FB comments. Any way it’s ok. Their products are good at least the ones I have previously ordered some years ago.
After having used the Ulanzi Zero YF38 carbon tripod for more than two years now I noticed play in the central column. It's made of two tubes that are somehow connected.'The play meant I couldn't use the tripod for long exposures: it had become unstable. I couldn't fix it so I reached out to the helpdesk and they said I could screw the twon tubes tight om each other again. That's what I had already tried so I responded to that message and after that they (he/she) sent me a video showing exactly what to do: unscrew the tool from the bottom tube, turn the balllhead sideways and through the hole that appears stick the tool to reache the screw that tightens the two tubes. And then just screw until the two tubes are fixed again. So easy! Probablly was also mentioned in the manual but must have forgotten it.
I ordered a Zero Y tripod to use with my plein air painting pochade box. I needed a smaller and light-enough tripod to fit into my backpack. It needed to have lever-type leg locks. This tripod fits the bill, is strong, easy to set up, adjust and knock down. It is very compact and fits in all my day bags used for art. Shipping took longer than anticipated and tracking information on the shipment was incomplete, leading me to think package was lost... but it still arrived within 2 weeks of ordering. Customer service at Ulanzi was responsive when I emailed about delivery but tripod arrived only one day after I queried and the lack of tracking information appears to have been a USPS issue once it arrived in the US.
About the Ulanzy Zero Y: It is a good and stable and lightweight tripod. I have only two things to say: first: what I miss and what my former befree from manfrotto had is one covered leg (with some rubber) because it is not so funny to carry the tripod in your hands when it is freezing cold! And second: I really lost one of the rubber feets during a trip. Not so easy to get new ones.
