BOOKED A CARPET CLEANING SERVICE FOR CARPET AREA APPROX 55SQFT, PROFESSIONAL CAME AND SAID IT IS APPROX 120SQFT, SO I SAID CHARGE FOR IT AS PER APP CHARGES FOR 100-150 SQFT IS 999/-, BUT HE REFUSED SAYING IT WILL COST 60/- SQFT IT WILL BE RS7200/- , BUT IF I AGREE HE WILL DO IT FOR HALF THE PRICE OUTSIDE URBAN CLAP. FOR 3600/- I CAN REPLACE THE CARPET ITSELF.WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE.

Unethical and unresponsive

This review is not about a specific service but about my interaction with the company staff. On one of my cleaning jobs, the person assigned damaged a few mirrors and glasses in my apartment. While UC has a policy to reimburse customers for such damage, it has been an absolute nightmare to get their escalation team to respond and move forward. We have had multiple calls (5+ by my count) and yet I have no idea how I am supposed to get my refund. They don't stick to their deadlines and they don't have a number to call so you are left in the hands of their very poor customer servive. I have about INR 30K+ of damages but due to "company policy" they are only going to reimburse me for INR 10K. All my conversations have shown that this company has been extremely unethical and immensely stingy to the point I believe they may have violated consumer protection laws (I am looking into it).Do you know the worst part? They make the struggling people who do the job pay 50% of all damages EVEN THOUGH they have insurance! These are low-income struggling hardworkers who make mistakes and yet have to give money out of their pocket to a company swimming in crores. I find it absolutely horrfying for a company to stoop so low. I look forward to the the day the headlines talk about their bankruptcy -- no company this unethical can or will survive.

STAY AWAY with one mile distance

Got my fridge repaired from their engineer in Dec 2020. They replaced two parts, the same parts broke again in August 2021 and then again in Dec 2021. When I contacted the company to provide me with the manufacturer's warranty or share the actual receipt for these parts, they refused to share the same. This just confirmed my hunch that they they provide fake parts which eventually spoils your machine. I have already registered a complain against them with the consumer forum. But recommend everyone to STAY AWAY

Service lady sent to our house was sick with covid symptoms

We ordered a manicure/pedicure service at home. The service lady arrived and was coughing/sneezing. She was asked to leave the house, and I contacted customer service who told me that she's vaccinated (like that would change anything). Its completely unacceptable to send someone with covid symptoms to somebody's house to perform a service. Absolutely horrible service. Will never order from them again.

NEVER TAKE SERVICE FROM URBAN COMPANY. THEY WILL FOOL YOU AND TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY

Technician has burnt out door unit. He didn't fix the nuts and because of that whole gas leaked. I have shared the photographs to the customer care. Their another technician has visited and confirmed all the damage. It's been a month now there is no resolution. Their customer executives are calling and harassing for the things they don't know.

Horrific paint job experience - Fraud company

I signed up for paint job and was assured 2 labourers, and complete house will be protected including all furniture and flooring.Only 1 labourer turned up, saying second is busy.Horrible maskin job done - no protection on furniture and no protection on floor. Says I will clean it.Uses thin paint, when pointed out - says it will look ok once the paint has driedDoes not clean any part of the houseSecond dayAgain only 1 labourer - says second labourer wants holiday because of SundayDoes not clean homeOld wall marks still visible from the thin layer paint, and he says i will do a touch up - can you believe it???
