This is the fourth time Urban Clap has cancelled the professional saying he must have cancelled for personal reasonsWe skip Office when they tell us a professional as coming at 9:30 AM and then at 10 AM, they tell us sorry. The professional could not come. This is the fourth time they have done it to me.
Today we booked a geyser service from Urban Company. The technician visited and informed us that both the geyser element and thermostat were not working. Based on his assessment, he suggested replacing multiple parts.However, when he returned, he was installing local, unbranded parts instead of the branded parts he had promised. When we questioned him about this, he started arguing, misbehaving, and even threatened to remove all the parts. He became abusive and only stopped when I said I was calling security.During this entire incident, I kept messaging Urban Company through the app, but I did not receive timely support. Only one emergency call was received, and the representative was unable to properly understand the situation. After repeated follow-ups, the company simply refunded the amount. No action has been communicated against the technician.To verify the issue, we later called a local vendor for inspection. He confirmed that only one part was faulty and the rest of the components were already working fine. The repair was completed for just ₹650. In contrast, the Urban Company technician was preparing a bill of nearly ₹3,000 for unnecessary replacements.This clearly shows an attempt to overcharge and mislead the customer. Such practices are unacceptable. Customers trust Urban Company for transparency and professionalism, but this experience reflects cheating and lack of accountability.I have recordings of the technician’s behavior and will share them on appropriate platforms to raise awareness. I am also considering filing an FIR regarding the abusive conduct.Very disappointed with the service and support.
Extremely disappointing and stressful experience with Urban Clap. I had booked this service well in advance because I needed to attend an important wedding and had planned my schedule accordingly. Despite this, Urban Company rescheduled my appointment on their own without taking my consent and assigned a time that was after the time I specifically needed the service. This completely defeated the purpose of booking in advance.What made it worse is that this was not a one-time issue—the rescheduling has happened multiple times, showing a serious lack of planning, coordination, and respect for customers’ time. When you book a professional service for an important occasion, reliability is the bare minimum expectation, and Urban Company failed on that completely.To add to the frustration, when I called the assigned beautician to understand the situation, she was extremely impolite, rude, and unprofessional. There was no empathy, no attempt to help, and no basic courtesy in the way she spoke. This behavior is unacceptable for a platform that claims to offer trained and professional service providers.Overall, this experience caused unnecessary stress at a time when things should have been smooth and hassle-free. Poor communication, repeated rescheduling without consent, and rude behavior from the service provider make this a service I cannot trust or recommend. Urban Company seriously needs to improve its scheduling system, quality control, and customer service standards.
While the cleaners they send are usually fine, this is one very poorly managed company. I booked their ‘House Cleaning’ subscription service. For the first month they sent the same professional at my booked time, as per their stated guarantees. After the first month, they changed the time and the professional even though it didn’t work for me. Take it or leave it! And then they started making last minute changes an hour before the scheduled time and to add to your frustration they change professionals too at the last minute. Their apologies too have no value as they will repeat it. This was not the first time. Definitely not a company that is managed very professionally. Update: almost a week after the latest incident, I receive a call with apologies from the company. Frustrating as the whole experience is, they have promised that it won’t be repeated again. Have heard that before too but giving them the benefit of a doubt.

I am reaching out to escalate the terrible service and unprofessionlism your team had been handling my subscriptipn for the past few weeks. Extremely frustrating for they way you guys volunteerily change service schedules without notice at your convenience versus the customer. Today I'd booked for instahelp at 0800h. I was asked for pre approve at 0700h. Even after I gave the pre-approval, the job gor cancelled and rescheduled to 1030h. Total fraud. What's the use of scheduling a day prior, if u can change at ur whim and fancies
