I have the savvy backpack for 2 months now. I've taken it on multiple trips and love it. I had some questions about the backpack and their customer service was very helpful and prompt with the responses. Would definitely recommend!!
I want to be fair and update that while the initial experience was disappointing, Veria did work to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. My husband loves the backpack. It’s still new but seems to be very well made and just what he was looking for. I was genuinely excited to try this company’s travel backpack. My husband and I have been searching for a high-quality, functional carry-on, and this brand seemed like it would be a great fit.Unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. After placing my order, I was later told there was a “website glitch” that caused them to oversell the item I purchased—despite the product still being actively advertised on their website. I was offered either a refund or a cheaper alternative backpack along with a free organizer to make up for the error.What made this worse was the timing and follow-through. I wasn’t notified of the issue until well after the stated 4–6 day shipping window had already passed. I was then promised the replacement item would ship within two days, but it didn’t ship for another week. When it finally arrived, the free organizer that was supposed to compensate for the lower-priced item was not included. I received a cheaper product with no explanation and no compensation for the price difference.I’ve since emailed the company asking them to make this right and have not received a response. Meanwhile, the volume of marketing emails and text ads I continue to receive is excessive—far more communication than I’ve received regarding resolving this issue.I wanted to love this brand, but between the overselling, delayed communication, unfulfilled promises, and lack of customer service follow-up, this experience has left me very disappointed.
Good quality material and comfortable to either carry on back or in hand. A lot of storage compartments for easy access. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is that it still uses the same old plastic sack like compartment for shoes which takes up too much room in the main storage compartment. Would like to see a separate comportment for shoes that did not impede into the rest of the luggage.
I have bought three bags, backpack islander, backpack islander savvy and the duffel bag. I absolutely love all of them. Trips to the lake, overnight for work, there is one for everything. I am debating on the savvy sling or kayak next. Do yourself a favor and try them out!!!
I bought a back pack in preperation for a trip to Europe. I just got back and the Islanders Savvy, backpack was perfect. I fit everything I needed. It was easy to acess everything quickly. I kept my passport in one of the compartments. It was safe and secure and easy to acess when needed. I love this pack.
Do not buy a bag from them. Their customer service is condescending. I left a very simple facebook review that I was unsatisfied with their return policy. (Cannot return any product without tags attached.) They immediately sent a condescending Facebook message to me. Condescendingly told me I should know if i like it without trying it even just once. Then Deleted my comment. And blocked me on Facebook so I couldn't leave any more poor comments.They dont want yoi to warn other users that their product isn't everything its hyped to be. And packing videos are misleading about what you can actually fit in the bag.They are worried about customers returning the bag and them having to throw it away or not being able to resell it because it would be unethical. But blocking and deleting poor reviews of their products they dont see as unethical.And also, couldn't they donate them as a tax write off?
I didn’t have an issue with ordering backpacks and bags, and I think they’re great quality. My problem was with the “customer service” I had to deal with. I initiated a return for one of the items in my order (I got free shipping with the initial order) and they did eventually respond with a return label and multiple, strict steps to follow in order to send it off. Already felt like they wanted people to make a mistake so they were justified in not sending money back. The UPS return label looked like a reused tracking number when I looked it up, so I couldn’t quite tell if it delivered or not. Fast forward a month and no refund was sent, and because they kept delaying giving me money back from our email exchanges, I actually had to research the contact info for the third-party warehouse company they use to store their backpacks and get them involved in order to receive any refund. Then I found out that even though I received free shipping on the initial order, they will not refund the full price of the backpack I paid because now the order total was less than the free shipping threshold. So they retroactively changed my past order to act as if I paid for shipping when I did not, and they kept refusing to send me the full refund of the backpack that I ordered and sent back. Hidden return policies like this one was never communicated on their website or transparent at any point until these back and forth emails, and they refused to admit they were deceptive and unclear. Truly terrible customer service. If you order from them just make sure you really want what you’re buying so you won’t have to make a return.

My communication inquiring about delivery has been met a condescending and dismissive tone. I ordered the backpack in plenty of time in anticipation of two trips and was disappointed it didn’t arrive for either. When I inquired after the first week as to delivery status, I learned it hadn’t even shipped yet and the comment from the company was “… you can look forward to your next trip or spend almost double for express shipping…” when another five days passed, I inquired again only to receive a message “… thank you for reach out to us again…, here is your tracking information…”. When I clicked the tracking link it showed the package hadn’t even been picked up yet! I sent an email back with a copy of the link information and was ignored. I live two states away! My advice, stay away until this company gets their act together!Grant
