Review Time
VISTRY.. Company took over Countryside.. have been replacing illegal cladding.. taken the area we have and pay to maintain for their use, with a toilet on top! For nearly a year!!
I would strongly advise prospective buyers to be very careful when purchasing from Vistry.
In my experience, they have not delivered on commitments that were made during the sales process. Customer service has been consistently slow and ineffective, with issues taking an excessive amount of time to address, if they are addressed at all.
Promises made were later diluted or avoided rather than honoured, which has been extremely frustrating and disappointing as a buyer.
Based on my experience, I would recommend that anyone considering a purchase ensures all assurances are documented in writing and is prepared for ongoing delays and poor communication.

I formally request that the developer, *Countryside*, (mother company is Vistry Group) take immediate action to address the construction issues that have been delayed for more than six months. Failing this, I will escalate the matter to my local Member of Parliament (MP) and disclose the situation through other social media platforms.I reside at *Milton Keynes Tattenhoe Park*. In April last year, I discovered significant cracking in the ground of the surface car park, which I believe was caused by soil erosion. This issue has resulted in the leaning of my garden fence, the leaning of my neighbour’s garden fence, and cracking of the retaining wall.Around May last year, the developer acknowledged that this was a *design-related issue* and assured us that it would be resolved. However, they only appointed a contractor to carry out superficial repairs, without addressing the underlying problems of ground cracking, soil erosion, leaning fences, and the damaged retaining wall.In November last year, due to a lack of progress, I raised my concerns publicly on this platform. Subsequently, a senior member of the developer’s sales team stated that they would follow up on the matter and claimed that construction works would be arranged by late January or early February this year. To date, no details of the proposed works have been provided, nor has any construction schedule been confirmed.I am deeply concerned that this design defect poses a *potential risk to personal safety*, which is why I have repeatedly urged the developer to take action. Despite my continued efforts, there has been no response from the developer for over two weeks. I am extremely disappointed by this lack of communication.I would like to make it clear that if this issue is not resolved promptly, I will submit formal complaints to *TPOS* and other relevant bodies. I am determined to seek a fair and reasonable resolution, as this issue stems from the developer’s design fault and you have already acknowledged responsibility and committed to addressing it.
Vistry have a public consultation interactive site on the forthcoming development at Hookwood, which apparently is for Vistry to get the public's open and honest feedback on the detailed design and an opportunity to help shape the design of the new neighbourhood in Hookwood. Many people have left questions and comments on this interactive site about the development, all valid and without any impertinence. However, Vistry think it is ok to either not publish some of them in the first place or remove them from the interactive site entirely.Vistry are therefore not being open and honest with the public's feedback. They currently have a 1.3 star out of 5 star rating (that'equates to 94% of reviews being just 1 star) which by any standards is appalling, but not at all surprising when reading the reviews. If you are thinking of in any way dealing with this company, whether that be buying a house or working for them, read all of the negatives feedback this company gets on trustpilot and you will get a sense of people's own views of Vistry for yourselves.
Jess Laird from Vistry customer service team, has done a superb service with our home defects. I understand homes are built by people and mistakes do happen. It's how it's put right and I must say 5 star service from Jess and Simon from the beginning. Always in touch to provide updates and always follow through and deliver results. Thank you again for your support!!
Worked for them for 2 months booked one day off with plenty of notice for a doctors appointment due to a cancer scare. Then got a message saying not to come back to site despite never having any issues or problems on site management are just immoral & heartless.
Waited 8 months after original build complete date for property to be finished. There were multiple delays due to poor quality work meaning work then had to be redone. Builders would give you false updates for example 'yes the work has been done' while I'm stood next to the work that hadn't been done. Customer service is awful, I made a formal complaint and never got a response even after multiple phone calls. The low review of the company speaks for itself, if you can avoid then I would.
