AVOID!!!!!! Vita Student Sheffield If you want to experience the uninterrupted sound of renovations every day from 7 am to the afternoon, sound of drilling the wall. Please choose to stay here. I lived here for two years, paying the most expensive rent for almost the entire city, and was woken every morning by the 360-degree surround sound of the surrounding construction site. It stopped for a few months and I thought it was over, no, it didn't!!! and it started again recently. I now seriously suspect that I was mentally debilitated by the noise. I've bought almost all noise-cancelling headphones on the market but they couldn't resist the loud noise. The only thing you can do is stay in the library all day, and the room you paid overpriced for will only come back at night. It is what it is. The manager will not have a solution, no room change, no refund, nothing. Let yourself crumble in the room. Also you can't stay in your room when you are on holiday because there is only noise and they will wake you up at 7 everyday. If you pass by here you will be amazed how many construction sites are around.
Please do not come here, this place is a scam.Firstly, the sheer unprofessionalism of management is actually funny at this point. When there are issues and we report them, nothing gets done. Things have been broken for months without any progress. The woman at reception could be replaced with a sign.The most abhorrent thing that has happened, is that a staff member came into my room without permission while I was indecent at midnight, despite me telling him explicitly not to enter. This was traumatising to say the least.The security is weak as a twig, a homeless man has broken in and slept here. There have been other instances of people breaking in. There have been instances of tenants stealing other tenants' belongings and when it is reported they are not reprimanded.I do not feel safe nor comfortable staying here.
This company is the worse I have seen in my life. Terrible customer service. The place is getting more expensive. I don't know why, because nothing works here, if you want to use a lift or coffee machine is out of service most of the time. The building is dirty; they don't have any cleaner even during this covid-19. TERRIBLE!
My overpayment refund form was sent in July 30th. It’s the end of October and I have not received my money back. I was told I put in wrong account details and it took them over 4 weeks to recall payment. I was told payment would be fast tracked but I’m still waiting on them. Communication is absolutely poor.
DEAR EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS of Vita Student*************************************** PLEASE READ THIS ******DEPOSIT SCAMMING ALERT!!!!UPDATE: 21/10/21After my 2-YEAR experience at vita student, I am being treated like SH**.** Don't get me wrong, this has nothing to do with nice and friendly staffs on site but entirely about customer engagement team.This has been over 8 WEEKS that I have requested for customer engagement team to return my deposit. The people who I have contacted are Tina, Sam and Hannah.I have requested the team to return my deposit back via my DPS portal and emailed to let them know I want my deposit back. However, I am being thrown around between the people in their team. It is very hard to contact customer engagement team:- The contact us information on the website do not work.- I called +44 203 096 1717 no one picked up.- Emailed Customer Engagement Team, Sam forwarded a link to Hannah asking her to approve the deposit repayment. (NO RESPOND FOR 11 DAYS)- I emailed customer engagement team for follow up of the case. No one replied- I messaged and commented on facebook messenger no useful reply.- I commented on their instagram no one took any action.- I called Jirah Manabat (+44 161 3543 852) she initially claimed that I did not paid the deposit when I already have a certificate of deposit on my DPS portal. However, she was kind enough to give me the phone number for Tina who works in Customer Engagement team.- I arranged a call back from Customer Engagement Team. There is no call back. I have to be the one who find out Tina's phone number which is not listed on any webpages.- I called Tina (0161 250 3212) asking if she could help me follow up with Hannah because it literally just takes ONE CLICK TO APPROVE the repayment of my deposit back. She told me to wait further because Hannah is on holiday and will be back on Monday (18/10/21).- I waited until Monday and have got no response back so I called Tina again. She told me to wait until Thursday (21/10/21) which is today and MY DEPOSIT HAS NOT BEEN RETURNED.I really want to ask if all of these are necessary for conducting your business?It seems like THERE IS NO INTEGRITY WHEN IT COMES TO DEPOSIT REPAYMENT.Is this how you treat your customer?I had a lot of good experience with Vita Student and was more than happy to spread my good experience. BUT YOU HAVE RUINED THIS OPPORTUNITY BY SCAMMING MY DEPOSIT AWAY. Some of my friends also have a similar experience.
Really hard to get in touch with! I'm supposed to move in and have tried to be in touch with them over concerns I have. Impossible to get them on the phone. Goes straight to answering machine and then you never get a reply. They also don't respond to emails. The only way is to schedule a call back and then they don't reply when you follow up on the conversation. Not very reassuring to say the least for international students trying to move in after paying thousands of pounds
This is a nightmare for me!!!!! I want to give zero star. Staffs are not helpful. No good manner and racist!!!! At first arrived, the room was dirty and I have to clean it again. The room is tiny and layout is not same as shown in the website. Any room problem such as broken light have to wait for a week to repair!!!!! Do not stay here. Avoid!!!
It had been the most terrible rental experience in my whole life. The staff's attitudes are so sucky that seem like they are the masters of the residents. In my check out today, they made up many excuses to force us to sign up the contract to pay for extra payment for cleaning, in an extent from 20 pounds to 100 pounds, which should be their company's own duty. And since last year, this company ignored the 28-day-refund policy for covid 19 situation and refused to set refundings for we residents. What a sucky company.
