SCAM!!! Would give negative stars if I could!! I've been paying for this since March and as of today August 2, I have received NOTHING. Customer service has done less than zero. Just respond with emails saying "Sorry. We'll expedite your order." Even calling accomplished nothing except "someone will email you in 24-48 hours." Just buy albums on Amazon! This is a COMPLETE scam!!!!!!!
I set up my subscription after my boyfriend already had a not-great experience. He had to wait 3 months for his FIRST subscription and is still waiting on the other 2 plus an additional he ordered. I decided to give it a chance, against my better judgement. After almost a month of waiting I emailed to cancel and get an update on my orders. They informed me that my curated album would be expedited and that they would reach out to whoever handled the order for my selected one. I received the order I selected (which was placed AFTER my subscription order) However the curated album still has not shipped and is not giving me any update. In fact, it is under the "past" orders but I have never even gotten an update other than the supposed "expediting" of it. Which is obviously BS. It has now been over a month and I still have not received my curated album nor has my boyfriend received the other 3 he has paid for.I know this is a small company, but I have never experienced such bad service. Don't offer a monthly subscription if you can't follow through within the month!
I have just written to VNYL.org today, as I was horrified to find out this morning that, even though I cancelled their service in 2018, they have been charging me every single month since then. No, I didn't spot it on my statement until today : (I signed up for a yearly subscription in Nov 2018, $273... but I never received anything, ever, and so I cancelled. To date, they have taken from me $1172 and I have not received a single piece of vinyl. Nothing.I'm hoping they will be honest, and prove themselves not to be thieves, and return the money for products and service never given. I will update on here what happens.I'm a journalist and connected to the music and vinyl industries, and so I can cause them WAY more than $1172 in reputation-damage, but I'm hoping it won't come to that and that they will behave ethically.
At first I was very excited about this monthly subscription service. But after a while I started realizing a few things 1) I wasn’t receiving my monthly shipments, I would go 45 days sometimes over two months with no shipment. I then thought maybe I’ll pay for the expedited shipping. I then not only didn’t receive my shipment on time, I didn’t receive a shipment at all. 2) Vnyl does not respond to customer inquiries. On several occasions I emailed their customer service to inquire about my records, I had really hope that this was maybe something on my end or some setting I could fix because I really enjoyed the curated subscription however after receiving no response I decided to cancel my subscription, still no refund or records or even a response from Vnyl, maybe someone else will come along who can do this right. Oh and the vibe is trash just a way to sell you whatever trash they are promoting.
Subscribed for 5 months, out of the 15 albums I received, I enjoy 3. That is 20%. On top of that, they charged my card in advance multiple times and sent me incorrect album that did not match the note they said they selected for me and what showed on my account online. When I brought this to their attention; they said they would include album in next box after the next box, meaning I had to commit to paying 2 more months just to receive the correct album from 2 months prior. Then this last box arrives and not only are the records horrible music and not worth the monthly fee, one of them skipped horribly on both sides and wouldn’t even play all the way through without the needle sliding to the end. Absolutely atrocious service and customer service. This experience has soured me from ever trying a vinyl subscription service again. Seriously, it was that bad.
Whatever you do, do not subscribe to this service. Worst experience ever. Like everyone else, I may have only received a couple of albums that I have enjoyed. A year of service. It was always slow, but lately, they are behind on two months. You can try emailing them, but they will just tell you that they will be sending them. It won't happen. I subscribed to the Amazon Vinyl Record of the month club, and I have really enjoyed it. Plus, they ship with Prime. You will get them a couple of days after it renews.
