Review Time
Only was with Vnyl for 2 months (or so I thought) and was happy with the records I received. However, the record doesn’t ship until a few weeks after monthly payment is processed. I needed to pause my membership because of finances though, lo and behold I get charged anyway. I’m not hopeful that the issue gets resolved swiftly
I should have looked at the other reviews before giving this company any money. Their ads make it seem like you’d get records you’d actually heard of but they send you no name albums that you could probably get on a discount anywhere else. I then gave them more money for albums I wanted and after two months they still haven’t sent them. Now they say their out of stock. I’m calling Amex to dispute all charges. I assume the better business bureau will eventually get the best of this company.
My experience with Vnyl has been nothing short of frustrating as a customer. After being charged multiple times last year, no services being delivered, and still charged after my cancellation, I finally had to report as fraud to my credit card company. After I reported the fees that were charged on my card, I was charged yet again for several hundreds of dollars. Now, over a year later, I am being charged again. No, I did not unpause my membership. I have not even visited the site since my ordeal with them last year. I am beyond annoyed at this point. I also have had the charges reappear from last year. There is no customer service to reach out to other than a generic mail box. A sham of a company.
Prior to ordering my first record through vnyl I made a Discogs account and added everything I own to avoid receiving doubles. I also listed a few bands under the “do not send” category due to me owning all their work already. The first record I received was a double. I was annoyed but tried again the second month. After waiting two months for it... Yet again, a double. This time one of the bands I specifically asked not to receive. When I reached out to customer support I was advised to “share the music”. No apologies or offers to exchange the records. This company is a joke and I would never recommend them after this experience. Vinyl me please is the way to go.
This was a horrid experience. I bought express shipping and had to wait 2 weeks. Not only that i don’t even f*king know what I got. I’ve never even heard of the type of music they sent me let alone the band. I did everything they recommended to get my experience right but it was bad. Your better off buying your own vinyls yourself
Very slow delivery, and TERRIBLE customer service. I signed up for a three-month (three records per month) subscription in May. It's now September, and I still haven't gotten my third order. They will also charge you for a renewal without notifying you, and they DO NOT do refunds. I emailed them three days after a renewal was processed (which I only found out about by happening upon it on my bank statement), and they responded over a week later with a "there are no refunds" and that my renewal would be changed to store credit. Problem is, the store credit was for $66 instead of the $99 I was charged. If I can't get a refund, I at least expected them to actually give me what I paid for. I was so excited about discovering new records each month, but this has been such a terrible experience. Stay away from this company.
Definitely stay away from this company. The customer service and business model that charges you without sending products is no good. This company won't last. Please save yourself the aggravation. It is a great idea that is executed poorly. I am a small business supporter but this I can not recommend.
Not going to call it a scam, but I'll tell my tale and let you judge for yourself. I signed up for a 3 month pre-paid subscription (via Groupon). Before I received the 3rd shipment I was charged for another month. I asked them the pause/cancel my subscription at that point and explain and/or correct that charge. No response to that request and multiple additional emails have gone unanswered. Once I was (finally) able to find a phone number I was told they would look into it and get back to me. A week later, still nothing... They said they are very busy and backed up, yet they found the time to send evidence to get the dispute I submitted to my credit card company reversed. Inaccurate evidence, as well. So now I get to spend time on the phone with Discover disputes department tomorrow because I've given up getting help from VNYL.
CHANGE YOUR CARD INFO IMMEDIATELY! They charged my card for my purchase but never updated the status of my order. I waited patiently then I got concerned so I reached out to their customer service email provided on their site. No replies from customer service and then they charged my card a 2nd time and I've yet to receive anything from them! I tried to cancel/pause my account but again no reply from the customer service team.I, then, realized their site is so badly built that you can enter anything in as the card number and they'll accept it. Hopefully, when try to scam me again, they'll fail by charging the fake numbers I put in there!
