I ordered one bracelet and two straps, and delivery was slow.I've also noticed that Watch Gecko is very expensive compared to other retailers.For example today, 2nd May 2025, they offer a Formex 42mm Reef in blue at £1880. The same watch is available from James Porter & Co., for £1700.I don't know how the rest of Watch Gecko's inventory stacks up, but I know enough to avoid them.
This is one of my favourite places to shop; the selection and quality of watches, straps, and accessories is consistent, and the attention to detail of packaging, communication, and prompt delivery is amazing. They obviously have pride in what they do and it's a business well worth supporting.
I purchased the WatchGecko 285 Italian Rubber strap years ago, and somehow misplaced the strap keepers when I was experimenting with a new clasp. So I contacted customer service with my prior order# to inquire if I was able to purchase replacement keepers for this specific Bonetto Centurini strap. I was informed that the keepers were not sold by the OEM separately, but out of kindness that they would provide a brand new strap instead! For free!Much to my surprise, a package containing not 1 but 2 new Bonetto Centurini straps (complete with keepers) in both 22mm and 20mm lug size. Natasha is the individual who helped me -- was timely, detailed and gracious in her email interactions. The fact that they sent me two brand new and complete OEM Bonetto straps -- GRATIS for free -- makes this the most unexpected and generous customer service ever provided to me during my life as a customer. They have my loyalty. Not only due they sell a high caliber product, but they clearly have a company ethos that reflect values sorely missing in society at large these days. Thank you for caring enough to find a solution, and then offering it without expectation of return. Well done.
Item purchased:Merriott Quick-Release Milanese Mesh Stainless Steel Watch Strap - Polished20mmI really wanted to like this product. It looked great on my wrist with my tag heuer. The bracelet arrived promptly and was easy to install.However, the strap mechanism repeatedly came loose - both from the watch crown and the clasp. Fortunately on both occasions I was driving and the watch fell onto my lap. I can only imagine my fury if it had damaged my expensive watch.Lesson learned, you get what you pay for. If you are in the market for a mesh bracelet for a Swiss watch DO NOT purchase this - get yourself a quality staib bracelet instead.
This bracelet is the most comfortable bracelet to wear. Very easily adjustable and feels very sturdy. I paired it with a seiko solar diver. I would like a version of this a little thicker (maybe 3.2-3.5mm) to use on heavier watches like my Omega Seamaster chrono. This one still fits my omega, but that is a top heavy watch so i would love a little thicker option available. Aslo, maybe a different pattern. But overall, love this band 100%
I have a high quality metal watch bracelet from them that they don’t sell anymore, and I lost a screw for it. I reached out and their customer service was amazing. They dug through their discontinued products and found a similar bracelet to pull a replacement screw from! Also, I have a many leather watch bands which are a great quality from Watch Gecko. I enjoy their good designs and they are proving to be quite durable.
Very poor quality according to price tag. The 2 loops retaining the strap have broke not after not even 2 years of usage (the watch was worn once every two weeks) which means that after only 50 times the star was dead...
