Westgate Resorts are a bunch of…

Westgate Resorts are a bunch of scammers. They will stop at nothing to lie and deceive you to buy their junk timeshares. They sell you their timeshare as an “investment” and constantly try and get you to upgrade. They won’t take no for an answer constantly pressuring you! I told the saleswoman Tressimie that buying a timeshare wasn’t the right option for me because I was waiting or a kidney transplant and on dialysis. Tressimie then told me that it would be an investment to make money to pay for my medical bills! What does that say about the ethics about Westgate? Dragging someone into debt when they’re in poor health? They are predatory and greedy! Don’t attend their sales presentations, they’re entirely too long and filled with the biggest lying sales bums in the world! FAILURE TO DISCLOSE TRUTH IN LENDING, HIDDEN FEES, LIES, JUNK ROOMS!!!! Stay away from Westgate!

I can’t even express my disappointment…

I can’t even express my disappointment with this timeshare purchase from Westgate. The sales process was high-pressure and to say the least uncomfortable. The salespeople’s repeated attempts to sell me on Westgate’s products and services despite my clear lack of interest was annoying. After sitting there and hearing them out for 3 hours I eventually fell victim to their tactics. Initially I was excited because the salespeople repeatedly stated that if I wanted as an option, I could rent out the property and make money. This turned out to be totally false, and the referral program turned out to be a total SCAM.  I gave out several friends and family VIP vouchers. A family member called, and they were denied the stay because their income was not sufficient. I also tried to rent out my week and no one would except my week because they knew they could go to any booking website and stay at a cheaper rate.     Finally, I was told that if I did not purchase the timeshare, I would not be able to tour or stay at another timeshare in the future. This kind of sales tactic is manipulative and unacceptable. I’ll be as brief and clear as I can … Westgate Resorts are a total SCAM so steer clear of them or you’ll be the next victim.

AGGRAVATING MONEY PIT! DO NOT BUY A TIMESHARE!

I really wish I had a chance to look at Westgate's reviews before buying my Timeshare. I could have avoided so much aggravation! The salespeople have no qualms when it comes to leading young people (21 and 23) into an entire lifetime of debt. Between the monthly payments (plus interest), and the maintenance fees that go up every year, it is an insane money pit! Unethical sales tactics and lies are used to pressure you into a contract, and they need to be stopped! I should have known it was shady from the start when I found out you need to be 25 to even go to the presentation, but they told me to go anyway. During the presentation, I stated I wanted to go to Australia and was told this would not be an issue. Come to find out, there are no properties in Australia that I can access through Westgate! Another plus was getting access to Disney resorts, theme parks, and cruises. Turns out it is not a plus after all as there is no access as they described. They promised that they don't report to credit bureaus, but a year later I received a letter in the mail stating per company policy, they are going to start reporting to the credit bureaus. The salespeople are so aggressive that even when I was in the beginning stages of a panic attack, (after being told the presentation would be 1 hour and at this point being there about 5 hours) I had to ask several times for a few minutes to myself, yet they only increased the pressure, taking advantage of the situation. How is it ok to treat people that way? Stay far away from Westgate and any Timeshare presentation invites!! If I could give zero stars, I would! We have paid several thousand dollars since the initial purchase of the Timeshare, and just want to cut all ties with this scam artist company!

Westgate Resorts timeshares are full of…

Westgate Resorts timeshares are full of lies and hidden fees. I saw an advertisement on Facebook offering discounted vacations to Gatlinburg, TN. In return I would have to attend a timeshare presentation. It was almost my birthday and being recently diagnosed with a rare medical condition, I decided to treat myself with a trip. This could have been potentially my last vacation. The room provided was filthy and full of stains. Appliances didn’t work. Because they didn’t disclose the truth in lending, the price I agreed to was not correct and with interest it is double what I was quoted. They kept us there for 6 hours, with no regard to my health condition, using unethical and high-pressure sale tactics. My family is going into debt because of all the false selling points used to sell this timeshare. Westgate Resorts took advantage of my unwell, exhausted state and manipulated me into making this purchase. I can’t even use my timeshare until a certain number of payments are made. Stay away from Westgate Resorts and all their bogus advertising offers, you’ll end up paying dearly in the end.

WESTGATE RESORTS is a predatory and…

WESTGATE RESORTS is a predatory and manipulative company. Take me for example, they misled me and didn’t go over crucial financial information of what exactly it was that I was purchasing. I am infuriated and disappointed how Westgate employees took advantage of me as an older individual! During the sales presentation the salespeople sold me on the timeshare because they clearly said that we would have access to Disney resorts, which was a huge factor to even consider this timeshare purchase, but it was a LIE! Being owners of this Westgate property does not give us access to Disney! Throughout the presentation I informed the salesman that I wasn’t interested and asked if I could have some time to think over this big purchase. I was quickly informed that if I didn’t decide right there, I would lose this amazing investment opportunity. They took advantage of my age and of how trusting I am, as it’s in my nature to trust people and they just used that to their advantage. If I could give this place less than one star I would!

Westgate Is The Awesome!

I read through many many many negative reviews and it seems people are not only not understanding what they are getting, but it also appears no one actually read anything handed to them!!! What's even more amazing is let's say you didn't read anything that was presented for you to sign ( Which you have to admit is a little silly) but it happens, so you read nothing and signed blindly... Well they actually give you copies of everything you signed!!! All the paperwork is presented to you, it's basically up to you to read it! (Which based on all negative reviews, no one read anything, which is beyond comprehension! Inconceivable! ) Another amazing thing is you have a grace period to review everything at minimum 5 days and up to 15 days before the contract is locked. Remember homework from elementary school days??? The documents that we all signed were wrapped up and given to us in a nice folder in printed form and PDF file on a disk... If you didn't get a printed version you did get the PDF and definitely could have asked for a printed version (Did You?) Did anyone review any of it??? Read a single page??? Anyone... Anyone... Beuller... Beuller.... No? Didn't think so... So at what point was anyone deceived, tricked, swindled, hoodwinked, bamboozled??? Stop with the ridiculously ludicrous nonsense because you feel silly for not doing your own simple due diligence when everything was given to you to do it... Inconceivable! I'm very happy with my Westgate purchase and was able to book the exact week I needed this year... Another amazing invention that's existed for quite some time is called a telephone known in modern times as a cell phone or mobile phone, you use it in a nice way to seek out something you may need... And if at first you don't succeed... Try try again... Whaaaa follow up and actually do self work... Inconceivable!!! There's many many benefits to owning and being a part of a timeshare, if you're not ready for a vacation lifestyle and are going to utilize everything it has to offer then wait till you are, if you feel like you were pressured, you did have at least 10 days to rescind/cancel but then that would mean you actually had to read or at least look at the paperwork, come on people come on...

MONEY FOR NOTHING

Stay away from Westgate and their timeshare racket! It’s nothing short of a scam. They tell you everything you want to hear in the sales meeting but in reality, it’s all garbage! They tell you can generate income from renting out the timeshare to other people, false! They pressure you into buying and claim the deals are only good for that day, false! They sell their timeshare like actual real estate property! You’re sucked into debt for life when you “invest” into a Westgate timeshare. There’s nothing exclusive or valuable about owning one of their timeshares. It’s all a swindle. Westgate has not delivered on its promises and essentially everything we were told that led us to sign the timeshare agreement was a flat out lie. They bribed me into attending a sales meeting with a “free trip” and there I was subjected to high pressure sales strategies which eventually led to financial hardship. Especially after COVID, Westgate offered ZERO relief. They’re cruel and heartless and all they care about is getting you into those meeting to squeeze more money out of you. My retirement is at stake now, and I’ve attempted to get them to release me from the timeshare, but they don’t care! Westgate a huge scam. BEWARE!

Regret is the one thing that comes to…

Regret is the one thing that comes to mind when I think about my Westgate timeshare. So many things were misrepresented from the start-I was told the maintenance fees would be $200 every other year. Instead, I pay every year, and the amount is far higher. 2021’s bill was $700. This year was $900! My salesperson said I could rent the timeshare to cover maintenance costs. Unfortunately, he did not mention that there was no guarantee that it would be rented, yet I’m expected to pay over $1,500 just to be in the program! The interest rate was also hidden from me. I was rushed through the contract very quickly and wasn’t given a copy to review until WEEKS after, which also meant I could not cancel since all the cancellation information is in the contract and has a restricted timeframe. If this doesn’t scare you away from Westgate, I don’t know what will.

Westgate Resorts and their timeshare is…

Westgate Resorts and their timeshare is nothing short of a scam! They are masters at deceiving people and outright con artists. DO NOT get involved in any sort of way with Westgate. My wife (who was pregnant at the time), and I were duped into getting a timeshare with these crooks. We were lied to and taken advantage of. They failed to disclose the actual cost of what we were purchasing. The interest rate is ridiculous! There’s no real value in even having a timeshare with them because of lack of availability and the fact that you can’t stay were you want to! It’s cheaper AND easier to just rent online They conveniently didn’t tell me that maintenance fees increase every year. Without my permission or knowledge their salespeople did a hard audit on my credit to try to get me approved for a credit card! They trap you in hours and hours of BS and once you’re exhausted, they get you to sign paperwork without properly reading everything. These savages are getting away with scamming people and because you signed a contract, they are able to get away with it. Their contracts are designed to cover their backside because they contradict what the salespeople verbally tell you. I hope my review serves as a warning. Beware of Westgate!!!

Run away from them

I don’t understand how the Government is even allowing Companies like this to exist. The only thing they really know how to do pretty well is to lies. Without lying they aren’t able to go forward with this business. When you buy a timeshare with Wesgate you are actually buying nothing. In my case you have the right to have a week every two years. In that same time I should pay them around $6000. What a fraud!!
