I recently acquired MGEN coverage. Gonçalo Mateus assisted me through every step and responded promptly when I had questions or concerns. I am grateful to have a contact at Winsurance who knows me personally and will always be there whenever I need help.
I was in an auto accident in Lisboa. Not really knowing how things work between insurance companies and getting repairs, Winsurance was there for me at the very start of it all. Rute Neto was my advocate and she worked tirelessly with me through the entire process. Communicative and responsive, I owe Rute so much gratitude for all her help and experience.
It has been great working with Winsurance, and Gonçalo Mateus he went above and beyond to get our new car insured for us on only a couple hours notice. He was very clear and let us know what was going on and how they were handling it.
This review is for Helena, in praise of her diligent and caring work ethic. My husband and I signed up for MGEN with Winsurance in 2023. When we needed to return to our home country, Helena stepped in to help us legally cancel the policy and pay the outstanding premium. She made sure we did not owe any money and would not have any future billing problems.A few days ago, I got a bank alert that MGEN was going to continue withdrawing the monthly premium amount because they did not update their records indicating the policy was cancelled. We contacted Helena right away, who opened a ticket with MGEN and proved through thorough documentation that she indeed did correctly cancel the policy. She kept in touch with us through email the whole time, updating us on the situation. She provided screenshots of her interactions with MGEN and was completely transparent.The final result is that MGEN apologized and acknowledged that our contract had been cancelled. The automatic debit scheduled for our account was also cancelled just in time, so no refund process was needed.I'm sure Helena was busy with many other clients, but she responded quickly to help resolve this matter so it did not go on and on for weeksI share this long story to let people know the lengths that Helena will go to help her customers. This current issue with MGEN happened in June 2025, 9 months after she already helped us to cancel the policy in October 2024 and she still was willing to help us. Other companies may have just ignored our concerns. I give Helena and Winsurance led by Nuno the highest compliments and wholeheartedly recommend them!
