My experience was mostly positive, but I've been trying to figure why the smell from my logs is so strong, they worked with me for bit then just quit. So as a consequence I'm stuck with a 1300 dollar log set that is totally unusable, thus the 2 star rating. Should be some kind of warranty on a purchase of this size. I suggest working with someone in your area for these things, they can send someone out to fix any problems.
Purchased $9000 Majestic fireplace they said was in stock. They did not have it nor did the vendor have it, then sold me
$1700 in extra parts for it. After months of excuses with no fireplace, they refunded fireplace but not all the parts and then stuck me with $700 in freight charges after failing to deliver. Do not use these guys. Go direct to vendor or use Tristate. Woodland will sell you stuff they don’t have and then take your money.
The product is exceptionally well constructed! Initially, I considered some less expensive options that were not manufactured in the USA, but they appeared to be poorly made. I chose to invest a bit more through the service and received a significantly better product. Recently, we faced straight-line winds reaching up to 100 mph in the region. When I woke up the next morning, I was worried after seeing over 20 trees down from the storm. As I assessed the damage and rounded the corner of my workshop, I was amazed to find the 8” rack I bought still standing strong, completely unaffected by the fierce winds. The tarp provided by the service remained securely in place! I immediately turned to my wife and started cheering, “USA! USA! USA!” I will surely be purchasing more of these in the future.
I ordered the same fireplace screen a few years back, but this one was poorly finished at the edges and doesn’t look as good as the first. Unfortunately, we had to keep it since we needed it for Christmas. I'm quite let down.
The screen was just what we were looking for our woodburning fireplace. It functions flawlessly and was simple to install, making the swap from the old one to the new seamless. The representative I spoke with on the phone was incredibly polite and supportive, taking the time to assist me, which I truly valued. Those small touches make a significant difference for customers. Woodland Direct shipped a broken and unusable $2,500 fire pit and will not stand behind the product, refusing to accept a return or offer a refund. I am very dissatisfied with the experience we've had with this company. They appear to do everything possible to avoid taking responsibility. I have had to pursue a chargeback through my credit card company. Beware.
