WOWCHER TRAVEL avoid avoid

WOWCHER TRAVEL. These reviews have to have been doctored. I would give 0 stars if it was an option.I bought a holiday via Wowcher to Bratislava in November from Manchester. I spent a while selecting different dates, destinations and departure airport for nothing . Don't waste your time. I had to redeem the wowcher so that Travelodeal could book the holiday. I was called constantly until I could answer so that 'James' could inform me that I needed to pay an extra £90 per person for the same holiday because the flights weren't available. They were still showing on the Ryanair website, they just didn't want to reduce their profit margin. Despite using their online calendars going through the motions of selecting the departure airport, destination and hotel. THIS DOESN'T MATTER apparently. This price was live for at least three days after the booking too and then only went up by £10pp rather than to £90pp they tried to charge me. This also doesn't matter apparently. I told 'James' that I wouldn't pay anymore so we spent 45 minutes going through my request for a refund, to which he replied that it wasn't possible because I redeemed the wowcher. I had to redeem the wowcher so that I could book the holiday. I explained that they couldn't fulfill the service I'd paid for so would like a refund. He didn't care. After 45 minutes I reached my mental limit and hung up. They must be on commission because he called me almost constantly thereafter. In the meantime I contacted Wowcher whom passed me around several departments before referring me back to Travelodeal. Very helpful. Not. Then I was contacted constantly by 'Terry' who tried to pressure me to book a different holiday. I asked him to email me to alternative hotel options so I could have a look in my own time. He replied that they couldn't email because they didn't have the staff. Remember this for later.... In the end my partner and I were pressured to research hotels in Krakow in December from Birmingham. So we changed the country, departure airport and date to get this whole ordeal over with. We chose it all again and 'Terry' put me on hold to confirm everything. After a few minutes he informed me that even with all of our compromises, the hotel was fully booked on one of the nights. So that was another hour wasted sorting this out. I was up at 2am the following day for another trip so when 'Terry' asked if I'd heard of MILAN I replied that I couldn't do this anymore and hung up. There was always a pressure to book there and then. They don't care if it's right for you or even what you want. In this case, what you've actually paid for. They just want to get it booked in so they can get their commission. Anyway, we were out of the country the following day and never guess who can all of a sudden email...... yes, 'Terry'. He sent us information about Bucharest in December from Birmingham. After all of the drama I agreed just for them to leave me alone. So we'd changed our date, destination and departure airport and apparently owed them £15 per person due in two weeks. Whatever. The due date arrived after hearing nothing, with a request that we paid immediately or request an alternative means of payment before the due date. How can I request an alternative before the due date if I'm not given instructions until the due date? I'm sure I've missed things but here are the notes I kept at the time. If I had a time machine I would stay well clear and I won't book through them again. Used the calendar on the site to choose flights - now not available and want £89 per person extraSaid he'd called on Tuesday to tell me they weren't available. He did call but no mention of flights not being available on the voicemail and he would call back the following day which he didn't. Said he'd sent me an email which he didn't Flights are still available on ryanairWowcher still available for the price I paid as of Fri morning. Friday evening it was increased to £199 per person which is still £79 per person less than you wanted to charge.Said he can't refund because I'd redeemed them. I had to redeem them for them to call me and book it all in. I wouldn't have known they aren't available without redeeming. Said he would call me in 24-48 hours and hasn't done.Pressure to book there and then, said couldn't send information for me to look on email. Magically did the following day.

Total scam - don’t ever have anything to do with Wowcher

If I could put minus I would This company is a total scam The advert on Wowcher I ordered from shows a picture of an original genuine body cream priced £5.99 - I ordered 3 - when it eventually arrived it’s some random Chinese boxes that are damaged I won’t be opening or trust using it and can’t give it as a gift I’ve contacted Wowcher who just fob me off & want me to return the items at my own expense - I have no faith that when I return these items will get a refund and don’t want to throw any additional money away I wouldn’t have anything to do with this company ever again - the items they are advertising on their site are misleading and when you contact them they just give you the runaround and direct you to an overseas company Highly disappointed

Nightmare company avoid at all cost!

Nightmare company! Once they have your money and you have a problem forget about it. Customer service is non existant. Only way to contact them is via WhatsApp messenger! I just want to talk to someone to get this dealt with! They claim they get back to me, they have but to go aroud in circles rather than dealing with the issue. Whoever it is that responds to these reviews please contact me and actually deal with my complaint like a civilised human rather than making things difficult and hoping I will go away. I will not. Refund the money for the missold, damaged, defective bed which is the worst quality I have ever seen. I don't know where you find these scammer merchants you choose to work with, can only assume you work together to con people out of money.

Premium gift

I bought one of the £19.99 surprise gifts for her - premium gift apparently. What I received was nothing more than costume jewellery that looks like my 11 year old daughter made. Don’t be fooled!

Sold me a dodgy Spotify subscription and didn't want to know when I pointed out it was for a different region, using someone else's credentials and against Spotify's terms of service
