Frustrating experience with account access

I had to add a non-refundable £15 to my account. When I finally tried to use it two years later, they couldn’t find my account. I’m unsure what happened, as it won’t log me in. The real question is, where did my £15 go?

Beware of Unjust Parking Fines and Charges

I rented a van and returned it on time, only to receive a parking penalty nearly a month later for a fine issued the day after the van was returned. The service claimed it was because I didn’t return the van to the designated area, but there were no marked bays for their service, nor any signage indicating reserved areas. The previous hirer parked in the 'wrong' bay before I picked it up, so who would have known it wasn’t suitable? Alongside the parking fine, I received a £15 admin fee for what I believe was an unreasonable charge. They claimed the penalty was from the council, but I pointed out they didn’t inform me in time to appeal, yet they quickly settled it and charged me £15 on top. The company has an agreement with the car park management, so it’s their responsibility for not marking the bays. After I sent pictures as proof, they completely ignored my emails. They have recently added signage, but many hirers have been penalized in the meantime. There’s no contact number for customer service on their website. I strongly advise customers to avoid this company; ever since they were taken over by a profit-driven group, they no longer operate with their original mission to promote responsible urban living. They primarily answer to their shareholders. You can never anticipate what extra charges they may impose.

The company has removed in-app phone support for all U.K. clients. If you experience any issues, you can no longer reach out to them. They charge extra for roadside assistance but fail to provide it. If the vehicle is unclean upon pickup, there’s no way to get in touch with them. If something goes wrong, you’re left without support. The service has become incredibly frustrating. Avoid using a car rental company that you can’t contact when issues arise. Similar to other reviews, if they discover any problems, they will charge you the full price without any prior notice to contest it. I genuinely wish I could rate them zero stars.

Support Disconnected for U.K. Customers

The service has now cut off in-app phone support for all U.K. clients. If you face any problems, there's no way to reach them. They charge extra for roadside assistance but fail to provide it. If the vehicle is dirty when you pick it up, you can’t contact them. If something goes wrong, you’re left without help. This has turned into a huge joke. Avoid a car rental company that you can’t reach when issues arise. Like many others, if they find any issue, they will charge you the full amount without giving you a chance to contest it. I honestly wish I could rate them zero stars.

Delayed Notification of Parking Charges

The service informed me about parking fines almost a month later. By the time I was alerted, they had already paid the fines and closed the cases, giving me no chance to pay them myself at a lower rate. I already covered a towing fee, yet I was still billed excessively. Despite ending my trip correctly, they refused to take responsibility. This approach seems unfair and misleading, leading to unnecessary financial losses for customers. I strongly suggest reviewing all charges carefully when using this service.

Fraudulent Practices!

I wish I could give them zero stars. Completely fraudulent! Avoid at all costs. My experience was utterly unacceptable. I was charged the full daily rate plus extra mileage, which ended up costing me nearly three times more than a taxi. This is not what any reasonable customer anticipates. The pricing is completely opaque; you think you know what you’re paying, but later they charge you much more and demand additional payments. Vehicles often come with little or no fuel, forcing you to spend your own money to refuel, only to be charged again later. Additionally, they penalize you for parking just a few meters away. Customer service is practically nonexistent, making it nearly impossible to reach them. After spending over 30 minutes trying to call about an issue with a vehicle that had no fuel, I ultimately gave up. This service feels deceptive from start to finish. What should be convenient turns into stress, frustration, and unexpected costs. Based on my experience, I will never use this service again and strongly recommend others to steer clear.
