Simple setup, fast seamless transfers between accounts. Dubious about app-only accounts, but this has changed my view – so simple to make payments between other online bank accounts, just using the phone, verified with face recognition.
Rates are great.App. is OK but not slick.Transfers to other banks are not as quick as competitors but still OK.The weekly limit on payments out of the account is only £20k and can't be changed. Very poor if you have expensive purchases to make but fine for day to day.
I had an issue with needing a bank statement as proof of id for a licence renewal but they would only accept one posted from the bank. I called the helpline and the person I spoke to was extremely helpful and sent a statement out despite not being the norm.
I do have a Biscuit account but I mostly use Zopa for savings. I have both the Regular Saver and the Primary saver. Though I could get (very) slightly higher Interest on the Primary saver elsewhere, where Zopa comes into its own is the clarity of how much interest is being earned on each saver on a daily basis. The savings do need to funded from the biscuit account but not a huge issue.Oh and moving money between the biscuit account and my main Lloyds current account is done within seconds.Overall I’m really impressed.
