I’ve been a loyal and professional Airbnb host for years, always maintaining excellent guest satisfaction and clean apartments. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Airbnb Support — specifically with a senior escalation manager named Junel — was one of the worst I’ve ever had.Instead of addressing my concerns or reviewing the clear evidence I provided (including videos and guest timelines), he closed the case without resolving the issue or offering any explanation. My legitimate questions about Airbnb policy violations were ignored, and my funds were unfairly held.This is not the level of professionalism or fairness you expect from a company claiming to support hosts. Airbnb should take this case seriously and ensure that escalation managers actually listen, analyze evidence properly, and communicate transparently before making decisions.
Airbnb won’t verify your account if you hide unnecessary personal details on your ID, like height or place of birth. Protecting your privacy blocks you from booking. On top of that, they record support calls without your active consent, which is mandatory under European law.I contacted support multiple times about GDPR and privacy rules—completely ignored. Frustrating and unacceptable.
Let hosts put on reviews that are full of lies and also give names of people. It’s a data protection issue as well as a moral issue - Airbnb need to check if the info in the reviews are factual - especially by little brained hosts.They also let hosts list dangerous properties with gas leaks and broken and cracked glass.Having 2 young children they need to take a duty of care.
I used to LOVE airbnb. I've used it countless times over the past 8 years. However in the past few years, I've seen bad reviews, homes in unsafe areas so you really really have to do your homework, hosts asking for personal information they should not be, duplicate listings, listings that look fake, and more! They really need to get it together!
As a Super Host I feel unprotected and unsupported by Airbnb. They accept cancellations from guests without validating information.I’ll give you a tip for guests: whenever you use it, if you want to cancel, just say it smells bad. They accept a full refund, without validating informationWORST customer service team, lack of values and NEVER prioritize hosts. Please avoid this platform
Airbnb is by far the worst accommodation option out there. Just returned from a business trip in Dubai. One host canceled on the day of arrival. I was offered a replacement by Airbnb. What I have experienced in the following 5 days it's a nightmare. First the host tried to charge me extra for a "security deposit ". That's the most popular scam in Dubai. The place was an absolute shit hole. People coming and going day and night. Some rooms used by 7-8 people changing everything 2-3 hours. One toilet per 20 - 30 People. No toilet paper, no towels. I haven't slept for 4 nights. Airbnb offered $47 ...Never ever again Airbnb!!@
We were shot at at our Airbnb. The police came called Airbnb safety and security were supposed to call. Haven’t heard from them and it’s been three days. The gentleman was arrested for 11 counts of assault with a daily weapon also using a gun during a violet crime, which he can have the death penalty or life in prison. But Airbnb seems to think that we weren’t any immediate danger. People stay the hell away from Airbnb. They told us to stay put until safety called, which ran our reservation out so now, of course we can’t get any money back after they ruined our entire trip. I do not blame the host. I blame Airbnb for not getting back to us and telling us what we needed to do that we could leave because they told us quite directly do not leave the Airbnb. I would love for someone at Airbnb to reach out to me but of course all you get is people from another country that cannot speak English and they give you the runaround and say but safety has called you nope. We have a voicemail here, but the voicemail says it’s rebooking not safety. Just wish trust pilot would let me put the screenshots in and the video of the gentleman shooting and everything else.
