Aldi looks like Tesco in the 1970s …

Aldi looks like Tesco in the 1970s from my experiences. It isn’t a superstore or an express store for convenient basket shopping. The superstores that took off since the 1970’s have offered so much more; multi storey car parking, large product ranges and sometimes cafe’s - which Aldi doesn’t have.

Poor quality, and rotten produce

The products from Aldi are such low quality. I bought a £16 joint of beef and half of it was fat and gristle, potatoes were rotten and smelt awful.

What a shame, Aldi

It is obvious that Aldi is more concerned with being cheapest than in its customer experience. So many things have changed for the worse over the last 12 months - the quality of fruit and veg; very decent basic range hot cross buns withdrawn and replaced by premium range at twice the price per bun that are no better; dumbing down the quality of ground coffee when packaging/branding updated; very short-dated (sometimes out-of-date) chilled items. There are one or two products I still buy there - until these too are 'relaunched' but my average weekly spend has gone down from £60/wk to £20/wk because I am shopping more elsewhere. What a shame, Aldi - you had a good reputation but you are ruining it now.

Inferior quality replacement coffees

What have Aldi done with the coffee? The switch from Alcafe to Barissimo is a big mistake, my wife used to drink 4 boxes of the Latte a week, the new Barrissimo has less coffee and far sweeter, so I got her to try the Alcafe Intenso that I drink which she enjoyed. Now we have the new Barissimo Intenso which is bitter and flavourless. Unfortunately if we are buying coffee elsewhere we will be switching our weekly £150-£200 shop elsewhere, sad but I’d rather pay more than use inferior products.

Hi,it is Olena. Thanks for your job.

Hi,it is Olena here. My nearest ALDI is at Charlton Retail Park, SE London. I would like to say BIG Thanks : shop floor is always clean and tidy, staff are friendly and helpful. And my personal THANKS that you are card free ( loyalty card, nectar card, another point cards and so on).. Supermarket should attract customers attention by cervise, by quality of the products and not by doing some offers only on feezy, shugary drinks, booze, chrisps, biscuits.Well, because of that I have already stopped shopping in 1stores ( 🤷‍♀️ )..The price war some stores are carrying on in a bid get more customers looks so low...Never have seen ALDI involved in it.Once again: dear Charlton ALDI, thanks for your job and all the best in your business..!!

specially selected cumberland sausages

Tried these sausages for the first time and unfortunately I found them tasteless with the filling just only what I can describe as fluffy with no solid substance. very disappointing.

Missing important info in the new food product web pages

The new food product web pages have very little info on them - they don't give any information on ingredients/how to cook/how to store etc. That's all info I need to I can avoid over-processed food, know whether the food can be cooked in a microwave, or if it suitable for freezing. I do not want to have to drive for 30mins to the store, spend time finding the item in the store, have to deal with reading extremely small writing, only to discover I don't want to buy it. The old webpages had all this info, and I don't understand why it's now not available.

Aldi in Hedge End

Aldi in Hedge Endavoid if you want the staff on the self checkout to be extremely rude to you over a bag, walking past every item you scanned ‘we going to pay for them bags’ then while packing ‘take it we’re paying for the bags separately today then’ to which bags had actually been paid for. trying to leave the store 2 staff members cornered me with my 2 year old trying to stop me from leaving the store, and followed us the whole way to the car trying to demand for my receipt which was in the bottom of one of the bags. the woman who followed me to the car then told me ‘next time you’re back we will be adding them bags to your bill’ then proceeded to tell me to not go back there and shop elsewhere.
