Plastic found in their food, but they don't care!!

After going to great efforts to cook a large batch of sausage and bean casserole, and finding what appeared to be pieces of plastic in the mixture was grossly annoying. I'd shopped specifically to get the ingredients and had spent hours cooking it, thankfully myself or my family hadn't eaten any. However, I was shocked when I called Aldi customer services to report what had happened. After sending images of the pieces she condescendingly told me it looks like skin from the sausages.I know what skin on sausages feels like like in your mouth and it's NOT that! If it's the skin on their sausages I'm glad we didn't eat any. IT'S NOW IN THE HANDS OF ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH, WHO THANKFULLY TOOK THE MATTER SERIOUSLY! I've tried to use Aldi for 6 months now as its my local supermarket, but this is the final straw. I'd rather travel 5 miles to do my main shop at Lidl's again. Aldi are shockingly poor! I've had Broccoli that tastes like wood, and will not cut. Oven chips(which should have been a treat) stink my kitchen out and ruin my dinner. They just don't care!!

I have been buying chicken thighs for months and the meat is getting blooder.i would probably think that the chickens are killed undrr duress they are certainly chopped about

Aldi Worksop.

Aldi Worksop.I’ve been shopping at Worksop Aldi for a long long time….So I have noticed how many things have changed over the years…One drastic change is the self service check outs which has one to two workers stood swinging their keys ready to pounce on an unrecognised item…And one manned checkout if I’m lucky…I shop early so I understand one manned checkout… but as soon as the checkout is empty theyre off to go and stack shelves or whatever their other tasks are…. All I see is stressed looking workers rushing about cos they’ve got more than one job to do…Then when one of us dinosaurs go on an empty manned checkout for a bit of interaction with the employees talking about the weather and the lack of good management (which is a better experience than someone leaning over on a self service typing a code in)…they have to rush back and serve us… then theyre off again… LEAVE A PERSON ON!!…. You’ve got 2 key ring swingers on the self service!!!.Anyway…..today 1/8/25 6.00pmAllegedly All the supermarkets direct debit functionality had failed so only cash…What would the first thing a member of management should do?….. surely to god they would either show their face or get an employee on the entry to let customers know that the cards aren’t working and it is cash only…and to tell customers that there is a cash machine across the road…NO…. I Was informed by a customer coming out….so I got my cash ready…When I was stood in the queue I asked the woman with her shopping behind me have you got cash… she didn’t have cash… so she took all her stuff off the conveyor belt… utter madness could easily have been eased… but asked the cashier where are the management… she looked sheepish and said she didn’t know….Not good

What is going on with Aldi

What is going on with Aldi? Did my shopping this morning at Aldi Dinnington, they had on display, on the shop floor, a small parts DIY organiser for which I have been waiting for months, only to be told I can't buy it! Reason? Because it hasn't been put through on the system! So why oh why is it on display with four others?Also, bought 2 bunches of bananas, one of them is already turning mouldy.I try to get there as soon as it opens, hoping it be easier to shop and the shelves would be suitably restocked, but no! They don't start stocking the shelves until it opens, then there's a mad rush to get the shelves stocked up! I'm registered as disabled, so I ended up having to navigate the aisles passed pallets, cage pallets and palletisers; and the staff don't give a damn that they're in your way, or holding you up. I've been using Aldi for years, I have never seen it as bad as this. But that's what happens with new supermarkets, they start off really well, but as they grow into giant retailers they become complacent, they've cornered the market, so they don't give a damn anymore. I wish there was a Lidls closer to home.Last week I wanted to buy a couple of bags of Cotswold Gravel which were on a pallet outside but with no price tag. So I asked someone at the till for a price Now, bear in mind I'm registered as disabled, she told me to get one of the bags, bring it to the till so she could scan it and give me a price.Another X for Aldi Dinnington customer service. Needless to say I didn't buy any gravel that day. Aldi's customer service is abysmal.

TEN days after "best before "

July 31 I bought some "speciality cheese".It was TEN days after the "best before 21July 25"when I got home!.I took it back next day for a refund ,no apology and asked "would I like a replacement !!!!".I used to shop here but NEVER again!One day past sell by I could understand but TEN is totally unacceptable .Goodbye Aldi Horden/Peterlee and its Asda,lidl,Teco or Morrisons in future ( pictures available on Google Reviews)

Waste of time

As always there absolutely rubbish at shelf stocking, the coffees ☕️ i require, the shelfs are always empty,all the other coffees are there, the "alcafe brand but the "caramel latte brand is never there, in Dewsbury the shelf was extremely empty as usually, went up to battley and like the Dewsbury store the batley store shelf was completely empty,had other boxes of coffee, but not any of the ones required as per usual, ended up in the Mirfield store, and they had the coffee

Service on with a Smile

Guy with bald patchworking at Fareham on self checkout is so rude,every time I go there he is miserable and not pleasant. Don't know why he is in a job he clearly does not enjoy. Now started to avoid self checkouts when he is on.
