ALDI (Preston) In general this chain, which used to be a great low cost place to shop, selling a limited but decent quality range of goods, has all but crashed and burned. For the second time now I have bought blueberries which turned out to be rank on getting them home. The tuna they sell is now mostly water and floor sweepings - I had to give it to the dog. They still get three stars since they are still selling some decent budget wine, but they need to up their game with fresh fruit and veg, and have a rethink about the tuna supplier.
Yesterday I visited the Aldi sore in Llay, Wrexham. When in the store I needed to go to the toilet, when entering the WC I was not expecting it to be as spotless and large as it was. There were facilities for every need, baby changing table, disabled toilet facility and plenty of clean sanitary bins. What impressed me even more were the feminine items for monthly flow. Thankyou Aldi for thinking of everything for everyone.
The staff at Bramley Rotherham are brilliant - very helpful & hardworking can't fault them. However I have not been as impressed with some of the food recently. In particular the salad has been poor quality lately & now the Holly Lane Whisky cake recipe has obviously changed. It used to be dark rich fruit cake with a great flavour - not any longer.
ALL ALDI EARLS DOGFOOD IS CONTAMINATED WITH STRANDS OF CLEAR AND BLACK PLASTIC. ABSOLUTLEY DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR. I MADE A COMPLAIN AND NOW THEY RELEASE A "NEW RECEPIE" STILL WITH PLASTIC STRANDS INSIDEALDI IS POISONING ANIMALS.
A terrible shop with rude and unprofessional staff.I had been a polite and friendly Aldi Arena Williamson Rd customer for several years, shopping 1–3 times a week for my family. I was also on good terms with many of the staff. However, recently I was treated very badly. Staff tried to remove me from the shop, even though I had done nothing wrong. I only politely asked for the name of a staff member who had been very rude to me.I was not given any information about how to make a complaint or who to call.Their self-checkout machines were not working properly, and one of them stopped during my transaction. I tried to ask if the payment had gone through, but I didn’t receive any printed confirmation. So I said I wanted to make a complaint — but the staff, especially the woman involved, didn’t like that. There are no clear legal rules or customer rights shown in the shop. It feels like the staff protect each other and don’t care about the customers at all.I was publically ridiculed at and humiliated in public.Do not go to this shop — you will not be treated with any respect at all! It was last week Friday.
Aldi seeded oat cakes (savour bakes). These appear to be made using compressed cardboard, which is then baked at high temperatures into rock hard discs lacking any distinguishable flavour. Online complaints department emails bounce back. Low quality food abounds at Aldi, swerve the lot.
