I want to start by saying the staff in the shop were polite and professional. However, I strongly feel I was almost scammed by the service process.I brought in an iPhone 13 with a swollen battery; the rest of the phone looked perfectly fine from the outside. I got the diagnostic the same day, telling me I had to pay €600—basically to replace the whole phone. The diagnosis? “Swollen battery.” Well, I could see that myself!I asked for specifics because even if I didn’t want to pay the “repair fee” (more like a replacement fee), I still had to pay a €39.95 diagnosis fee. When I asked for more details, the technician just said “well, it has more problems inside,” without any specifics.I took my phone to an independent repair shop afterwards, and they replaced the battery for a reasonable price with a 1-year warranty. The phone now works perfectly, which makes me seriously question Amac’s diagnosis.Honestly, it felt like they were just trying to sell me a new phone. If you’re looking for honest and affordable repairs for your iPhone, I recommend seeking a second opinion.
