Good quality equipment; their customer service is average. They deliver equipment quickly, (I got my CPAP from them), but, just TRY getting them to pick it up when you no longer need it! I have made two pick-up appointments for oxygen equipment rentals I've had for over three months and no longer need, and both times they've been no-shows! I hope they don't start charging me for the equipment! I'm going to have to call them AGAIN for a pick-up. It's getting aggravating!
EVIL COMPANY THAT TORTURES PATIENTS!Good luck if you are a Kaiser member and need any DME equipment, they will send you to APRIA evils and you have no alternatives thanks to their little exclusive agreement, you are stuck with them no matter what, they will take for months and let you died waiting before you get your DME from them , they are horrific, evil , just pure evil.
Apria is very cold blooded when it comes to caring for their customers when they are having issues with them. I was hospitalized for several months earlier this year, 2023. During my time in medical care, I used a PaP machine supplied by the hospital so I did not need to use my home machine. Apria could not contact me to renew my supplies during that time. Somehow, someone at Apria assumed I was not using my own machine in compliance to the Medicare requirements and so they influenced my insurance company (a Medicare Advantage Plan) to conclude that I was not using my machine, anymore. Now, when I was discharged from the hospital and returned home and tried to re-order a new CPaP mask and other supplies for my machine, Apria refused me on the basis of saying I was not using my machine and, therefore, I was NON-COMPLIANT according to Medicare requirements. This caused, in some way, my Medicare Advantage Plan to refuse to pay for any more CPaP supplies. When I contact my Plan and explained to them that I had been in the hospital using the hospital machine, this turned into a major issue that went on-and-on for over 6 weeks. Apria had made their decision that I was non-compliant during the time they could not reach me without ever looking at the data card from my machine or contacting my hospital which would have proved my compliance. I was confounded by the fact that my Plan had participated in this abuse of me since it was Clearly paying my hospital bills during my hospitalization. Instead of defending me and disproving Apria's unprofessional and unethical decision on this compliance issue, my Plan was seeming to not be acting in my interests in order to charge me for the machine which I paid for early on when I paid my copay upon receiving it months and months earlier. I got my Pulmonary doctor to fax my Compliance Data from my machine to Apria and to my Plan to clearly document that I was using my machine except for the period I was using the hospital device. Suddenly, Apria abandon their issued about my compliance and, then, accuse me of having an outstanding bill of more than $900 for the machine. They refuse to admit that I owned my machine after paying my copay. They refused to address those many previous months I was ordering and paying for re-supplies prior to my hospital stay. I called Apria many, many times during this dispute and each time I seemed to have to talk to a different Apria rep and have to re-explain my case over and over again. Each time, the reps were ignorant of the facts and seldom indicated to have even read the Notes in my account. One rep even told me that if I did not pay the outstanding balance on my account, her manage told her to tell me I should get my supplies from another company. At no time did Apria acknowledge that I need supplies to successfully continue my CPaP treatment during those 6 weeks of turmoil with them. I told them my old mask was leaking and I was not sleeping well during all those many weeks but they never, ever seemed to care. None of them never even sympathized with me or said they wanted to work out my issue eventually but in the meantime, would send my supplies. Apria is all about trying to squeeze out money from me that I do not owe them. Apria is COLD BLOODED and unprofessional. They should not be in the business of medical care, at all. Not at all!
This is the worse company I've ever dealt with. Example: I received a bill for $11.40. The date of the invoice was June 6. On June 14 I paid with a credit card via Apria's web site. On June 20 I get an automated call that I need to pay the bill to avoid further collection efforts. The bill isn't due for another 7 days and they are threatening collections! In addition, Medicare and my supplement company says I should owe $2 less then Apria says I owe. I pay the higher amount to avoid the aggravation, but it's an example of how bad this company is. AVOID THEM at all costs.
Apria Healthcare is the WORST CPAP suppler ever! I've been trying to get a replacement cpap for going on 2 years now when my cpap starting leaking horribly after only a couole years. I took another cpap test for my doctor and my doctor submitted and resubmitted EVERYTHING they needed for insurance. Longer story than that, but still no cpap. Haven't been able to get ahold of theall year. My insurance company said to have my doctor resubmit all to them and they will find me a new supplier.
Apria was bad a few yrs back and I quit using them however my dr sent a prescription to them so I gave them another chance. Sorry to say they are still totaly inept, poor to non existent cust svc. They seem to hire phone people who don't speak english. I ordered product but they sent it to the wrong address. First they didn't ship it cause I owed them $5.41 but instead of calling me they just cxld the order. Once I finally received the items I realized my cpap hose was cracked. I called and ordered a new one and they say the order was 'expedited' After waiting 10 days I called back to find out they have no record of the order and want me to start over. Its just not the incompetence its the constant e mails and phone solicitations. Just cause your on medicare it doesn't seem reasonable to try to load you up with every possible 'supply' just cause medicare will reimburse them for it. I just hate this firm.
Going through the phone tree is ridiculuous - it is time-consuming, repetitive, disrespectful to customers. Second, I used a credit card to pay a bill. Despite the fact that I've been charged, more than a week later it is still being processed in Apria's system. As they are showing an amount due on my account, I cannot re-order supplies. I hate Apria and will complain to Kaiser about poor service.
Apria is a terrible company. Their phone lines have a long wait time and then you reach someone who is incompetent. It seems that recently their billing dept has been outsourced and if you try to resolve questions about your billing the reps are rude and unable to communicate in a manner that addresses your questions. I had a credit card on auto pay for the agreed upon amount of my monthly bill, but they over billed and placed unknown charges on the card. I had the card company dispute the charges and a fraud investigation has been opened.
This company is a scam boiler room operation that offshores all customer service to the Philippines where well intentioned workers have limited scripts in their effort to resolve issues. They not only scam the US patients but the offshore workers they employ. I received a CPAP machine that did not work in August '22 and tried to have it picked up in September '22. They continued to bill me without picking up the machine and then started aggressive collection efforts for the increasing balance. I had approximately 25 documented conversations with offshore collectors wherein I told them the machine does not work and needs to be picked up. Every single time, they told me they needed to transfer me to the department that handles pickups, I waited on hold for between 5-10 minutes and then the call disconnected, EVERY SINGLE TIME. The phone number that one individual gave to call for pickups rings many times and then fails. Then in February '23 on a random day, I was out of town traveling and a Fedex guy showed up at my door to pick up the machine. Spoke with him through my Ring camera and arranged a day to come back the following week, which he did. Now I continue to get collection calls for the machine that never once worked and I cannot speak to ANYONE at Apria who isn't an offshore bill collector with zero ability to speak about this other than to say how sorry they are for my concerns. I don't understand how this company A) is still in business and B) has not been investigated and shut down by state attorneys general for abusing elderly patients. I will be filing complaints in Florida with our Office of Consumer Affairs and other government authorities that protect residents from this type of abuse. BEWARE OF DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Apria Healthcare exists to make money by hurting people. It's a terrible company that hopes patients die so they don't have to deal with them. CEO @DanStarck1
