What can I do? I was warned not to use Autodoc but I went all in and spent £800.00. The car is in the air and Autodoc appointed ERvri to delivery the goods (byword for terrible delivery performance). Now 4 days on Autodoc keeps saying parts are dispatched and Evri tracking says parts not received. Autodoc chat bot is useless I think programmed to only respond to questions they like to answer.
I would avoid this website / seller. They also go by the name onlinecarparts.co.uk. They try and push an extra charge on you at the checkout .. in case the part is wrong etc.. etc. which I didn't take. Then when the part finally arrived after 2 weeks wait it didn't fit. I thought the company was in the UK and expected the part within a couple of days.. ITS NOT!! , their website said it would fit, which is why I ordered it. They agreed it was a mistake and that I shouldn't really trust the site and should have asked also sending them my VIN number. No where to put the vin number on the website. It just seemed they were making excuses. Anyway, I asked them to send me a returns label as it was there fault. No, they said because I hadn't take out the extra charge at the checkout, then I would need to foot the return bill back to Germany.... What! Several emails after and once I had said the item fails under the 'not as described' and as a consumer I had rights and they needed to foot the bill. They then said as a gesture of good wil they will send a label. Absolute shower of $hit as a company, would completely avoid.
Avoid this commpany massive scam I ordered a part and it said that it arived and it was a £60 order and said that it had been delivered little do i know the parcal is not what it says and it is a shein order and not a car part what a wast of time and money do not trust this website or app
AVOID THIS COMPANY. Ordered some TRW exhaust valves, which were all made incorrectly with an off centre valve stem. Asked for a return and sent them pictures compared to an original valve showing the defect. They then asked for my VIN which I thought was odd as that has nothing to do with manufacturing defects, they said I had ordered the wrong valves for my car, which I had not, and threw the claim out. Absolutely abysmal customer service. I have had to source valves elsewhere, and am currently out of pocket by £120. So to sum them up, they supply sub-standard parts, accept no liability for them, and then keep your money.
UPDATE: Funnily, an hour after leaving a review and also posting my experience on social media, I got an email saying a refund has been authorised.
RESPONSE TO AUTODOC'S REPLY: I'm not sure how there could have been a misunderstanding after several emails explaining the issue and sending the same photo evidence over 3 times. Minimal misunderstanding, maximum incompetence
Terrible - said was delivered. Not delivered. Contact courrier Evri - just as bad. You can't call them, or even email them. Just goes to their horrible AI app, that puts you in a loop saying your complaint has been opened and you will hear from them. No contact whatsoever. Horrible horrible company. Avoid at all costs.
The service provided me with an item that was not suitable for my vehicle, despite their prior confirmation that it would fit. Upon receiving the item, I realized it was incompatible, even after paying an additional amount for a safe order. When I requested a refund, they provided a label and instructions to return the item to Germany; however, the return process took an entire day. The refund only covered the price of the item and excluded the delivery and safe order fees, which significantly reduced the refunded amount. I have lost trust in this service as all communication appears to be automated. They also ignored my request for a full refund. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
This has been a total waste of time and money. The customer support is unacceptable. After purchasing a battery, the courier falsely claimed to have attempted delivery, leading to endless waiting and disrupted plans, ruining my holiday season. It's infuriating that I can't rate them lower. Now the part is out of stock, and it took them an entire month to inform me. I still haven’t received my refund! Instead of proper compensation, I received a small voucher. I have no intention of using their services again. It feels like a scam.
I've encountered issues with receiving parts that don't match my car, even though the VIN is correctly recorded in my account! The system should automatically verify compatibility. Moreover, the registration number is outdated; it keeps referencing a vehicle I sold two years ago. Lastly, for many parts, there are excessively numerous 'Brand' options—I've counted around 20 for some items! After researching these brands, I found many are just rebranded versions from the same manufacturer, often with drastically different prices. This is confusing at best. There’s no clear indication of what constitutes 'premium' or 'OE' quality compared to 'budget' options. Ideally, there should only be 3 or 4 choices—for example, I would typically choose 'OE' or better as a standard practice.
