They are definitely ripping people off. I bought the Miami Cuban link anklet and it was so light weight like everyone else said. It broke in less than 2 weeks. I just wore it for the first time today since it was supposedly fixed. It came apart again and it doesn’t even appear to have been worked on. It’s literally the same exact piece of “gold” broken when it was shipped back to them. Stay far way!!! This can’t be legal. They are a complete scam! I really wish I could upload photos of this anklet.
The jewelery looks very cute on the website, and they have a very cute aesthetic, however… the jewelery is SO SO thin and dainty. I bought a bracelet and an anklet from them and it looks like something you’d gift a NEWBORN. It was so tiny, and it had absolutely no weight. My husband was doubting the claim of it even being 14k solid gold! I wanted to return the items… well you can only get store credit. No big deal, I’ll give them another try. I bought a ring and a pair of earrings… the earrings feel so hallow which I have never experienced before with earrings and the ring is also very tiny. The prices aren’t worth it for the quality but if you have the money you might like them more than I did.
UPDATE: SO the company finally got back to me and made things right. Unfortunately, the gold is always very "dainty" which means not as substantial as it looks in all the pictures online. Pretty but dainty. Shipping takes quite a while still but their customer service is getting a bit faster. If I could leave no stars I would. I ordered a paperclip 14kt gold bracelet that took forever and I emailed to cancel because I had to buy it somewhere else for a friend‘s birthday. They told me I could not cancel at that late moment which is ridiculous because it was gonna be at least another two weeks they said for it to even be shipped. so when I got it, I refused it and it went back to the company and they’re saying they never received it. So I’m out almost $400 and no bracelet. Do not buy from this company!!! Sheisters!!! I gave them every opportunity to make it right bc I don’t like leaving negative reviews.
First of all, I ordered what appeared to be a pair of earrings and it turns out it was only one earring which was absolutely no clear from the description. To top that off the one earring was so small I needed a microscope to see it. Then I filed for a return. They charged $15 for the return and they refused to credit back my card and issued a store credit for the balance. I tried to call their customer service phone # on their site only to find out that it’s not in service. Emails are responded to by bots. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! BAD PRODUCT. ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.
It’s true that they don’t accept returns and it is unfortunate. I will knock off one star for that. I will say that they do offer very fair prices and not accepting returns probably helps to keep those costs down. I had received a defective piece and the automated system would only allow me to return for store credit AND charge me a return fee. I reached out to BabyGold and they allowed me to return without the fee for store credit. I would suggest to BabyGold to allow returns without a fee if the item is defective. Recently I used the credit for a chain and decided to change my order a few days later. I received an email confirming that my order had gone into production but customer service made an inquiry on my behalf and managed to change the order for me. That’s good timing and not a guarantee but I appreciate the effort.
Terrible quality and service; claim they have experts on their team but clearly don’t. Don’t accept returns even if you’re disappointed with their items, they only accept store credit; a wild concept to have as a business. Also they sneak in a $15 fee for returns. A fee for what exactly if I’m paying to ship the items back? This fee isn’t even written on their site, I was made aware after filing a return request. Shady and shoddy business, I should’ve read the reviews on here and better business bureau.
Horrible experience. I attempted to order two pairs of earrings and got the worst runaround of my life. I checked in because the money was pending in my PayPal account but the charge didn’t seem to go through. I called PayPal and they said the merchant didn’t accept the money, which has never happened to me thus far. It had been about 5 days since I placed my order so I figured I would reach out.First, I was told I needed to wait the 10-14 business days for my “custom items,” but neither of my earrings were custom. They were stock earrings and in stock when I placed my order. I responded for clarification and then was told my earrings were set to ship the next day via Fedex. Wonderful! I assumed the charge would complete then. Then I receive an email stating that one of the pairs is actually out of stock, so they can partially fulfill my order and send the out of stock pair when it arrives. Okay.. I responded asking when the other pair could be expected to ship and THEN was told sorry, they can’t partially ship. “This item was on stock but we currently are out of stock and do not know an exact date on when we will restock, please let know if you would like to keep the order wait or cancel it.” So multiple false updates for two simple pairs of earrings and now an undetermined wait period to receive them? What kind of operation are they running? This was a really confusing and bad first experience with them and as a regular high end jewelry shopper I won’t be back. Save your money for brands that can actually deliver product.
The item I purchased did not say it was final sale but it might as well be because when you go to request a return they only give you store credit. Why would they only give you store credit?!!!! This is ridiculous. I knew custom items were final sale but not that all items were final sale. Never shopping with this company again.
I ordered a necklace on babygold before doing any research and I am relieved to say that I received my necklace about a week after ordering it and it’s really nice! Customer service was quick to respond when I asked about when my order would be shipped. I probably wouldn’t order again after reading all of the stories but I did just want to share my experience in case anyone finds themselves really worried like I was after seeing these reviews.
