I’m highly disappointed with the Bank Al Habib app. Despite successfully logging in, I can’t access my account. The app immediately directs me to perform biometric verification, but it gets stuck on that screen, making it impossible to proceed.My funds are essentially locked due to this faulty app. If online banking isn’t supported properly, just inform users so we can make alternative arrangements. As it stands, it feels like I have no choice but to visit the bank in person to withdraw my funds. This is extremely frustrating and needs urgent attention.
Online banking is pathetic, to say the least. For literally no fault or reason, your access to your account, or your ability to do any online banking becomes disabled - for. literally. no. fault. of. yours. or. reason.Then when you write a "complaint" as instructed to resolve the issue, they can NOT be bothered to respond - even the branch managers. What inefficiency and shamelessness!
Pathetic customer service and app. I was transferring funds and due to app error the submit button didn't work and I got time out error for otp. I tried the transaction again and same happened. No notification or email for account debit was sent, nor did the beneficiary receive any money. When I checked, the balance had been debited twice. On contacting customer service, they had the audacity to say that this is a normal routine and that they take 7 days to resolve an issue after a complaint is launched. I mean where the hell is my money? It's been deducted from my account, wasn't credited to the beneficiary's account, where did it go? And this all is normal for bank!!! No apology, no future guarantee as to not repeating the errors from bank and customer service representatives are completely uneducated and not helpful at all. Their way of talking makes your blood boil.
My NIC expired and I got a new NIC which I am struggling to update with the bank.I am a joint account holder with my wife and sister. I work overseas and live with my wife whereas my sister resides in Karachi, Pakistan.I was really shocked to receive an email from the bank that a debit block is in place for my account as mine and my wife's NIC expired. I was trying to understand how it is possible when the 3rd joint account holder is having a valid NIC and a resident of Karachi, Pakistan. Any how, as myself and my wife are currently outside the country, I sent copies of mine and my wife new NIC to my brother in Karachi to submit to my BAHL branch in Karachi, however I got another shock that bank declined to my brother to update my new NIC and asked my brother to inform me to update it through bank website. I tried updating it through the bank website but it does not allow me to do so and gives error message to visit the branch.This is not the only trouble I am facing with BAHL. Three months before I had reported a complaint that my online account is inaccessible to me as it is asking for biometric verification and I tried all possible ways to complete it but I was unsuccessful. Hence I was unable to access my account through the online portal for the last three months. It is really sad to see that BAHL, which has such a large banking network in Pakistan, is providing such poor customer service to its overseas customers. This is really disappointing to me.
Really the worst in Online banking and app.I just wanted to create a new payee and for that I wasted an hour. When I try and enter the IBAN number it tells me the user is already registered. For ten times it gave the same error even though there was no user added for that IBAN. Just an FYI I am Software engineer so I know how these validations work. Then automatically it accepted the IBAN that it restricted earlier. Then it sent me an OTP, I receieved the OTP on my mobile and when I entered it OPT, the system declined that it was entered correctly even then it was absolutely the same 6 digits. And then it blocked my account. Now I have to call the call center and waste another hour with these call center mojos. yesterday I spent 6 hours trying to get a new device added as the system keep on calling me to verify , it called me approx 30 times and each time it says thank you and but it never validated my account. what a pathetic pathetic absolutely worst online net bank of Bank Al Habib. What a waste of time .. Wish you guys hire some good engineers and not just the cheapest illetrate college student to build your system and I think you a few good QA engineers who can test these modules and user experience. WORST WORST WORST - SHAME SHAME SHAME
At the time of opening my account I was charged about 4,000 and I was told that it would appear in my account once it is opened but once the account was opened, I was charged 25,00 and 9,00 for it without any reasons or explanations. Please stop stealing people's money from their account. even if a charge has to be made it should be clear to the Cutsomer.
