I purchased 6 items, but was incorrectly charged for 7, so I went to the Queenstown store to request a refund. However, I was told that the register was not working and that I would be given a gift card instead, with a one-month expiry.
I find this completely unreasonable. This was money that should have been refunded to me, yet it was replaced with a gift card that expires in one month. It doesn’t make sense that my own money would suddenly have an expiry date. I was honestly surprised by this way of handling the situation. On top of that, the staff became defensive when I pointed out the mistake, which made the experience even more unpleasant.
As I did not want to return to the store again, I accepted the gift card and used it on the spot to purchase items.
However, when the gift card was processed at the register, it turned out to be invalid and caused another error. Although the refund amount was deducted, I was unable to receive a receipt and left the store.
Giving customers an invalid gift card is a serious issue. If I had not used it immediately and had tried to use it later, I likely would have been told it was unusable. In that sense, I’m glad I used it on the spot.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience.

The sales associate was nice but I feel she could have been a lot more helpful. After she measured me, she brought back a few bras to try, none really felt too comfortable, one was OK but not in a color I wanted. The prices, in my opinion, were way too expensive as well. She really didn't show me many, I can't wear underwire, so she said they're weren't a lot to choose from. I honestly don't think she tried hard enough and she was quick to stop showing me items and just wrote down the name of a bra I sort of liked so I could check online if I could get it my color. The price was horrible though and it was a bra for mastectomy patients. I wasn't pleased at all with the service or the availability of bras in my size, and prices were way too high. I asked her if there were bras in a lower price range as the posters in the windows said starting at 30.00, well, she said that there were none in a lower price in my size, I really don't believe that. I would have done better probably on my own. I left the store and bought a bra to my liking at another store. I will certainly not return to this store, maybe smaller breasted ladies will have better success, but folks like me who are well endowed, I don't see much to choose from.
Was in love with one particular line of underwear however after my recent purchase I realised the design had changed and they no longer fit well and were not of the same quality.Their website would not allow me to publish a negative review which is extremely shady. Obviously they are trying to cut costs by replacing what used to be good products with inferior items with no indication this is being done.
I got a gift card for Christmas and unable to use it on the website without converting it to an e-gift card through my account. I cannot log into my account as it says every single password combination is wrong. Password reset emails do not send and do not appear in either my inbox or my junk/spam folder. I received an email saying that my “cart misses me.” Look I am trying my hardest to spend money that you already have, and the website is honestly annoying. Live chat is not available during the times specified in the website 8:30am - 4:30pm. Meaning I have to lodge a ticket which takes hours to hear back about. Really frustrating experience and will likely not shop here again because of it.
I've been shopping with Bendon for so more than 20 years now.Always have a great experience, but recently i was served by Jahnvi in the Dress Mart outlet.Her manner and interest in making sure that I have the best deal, the best product etc, was fantastic. Possibly one of the beast experiences that i have had with Bendon.
