Don’t expect any help from the…

Don’t expect any help from the BlaBlaCar helpdesk/service. I suddenly stopped receiving emails from them when people booked rides with me. When I asked why, they changed my login email without asking me or being asked to. To date they still haven’t explained why the emails stopped. When asked why they changed my email, they claimed that I had changed it. Each time I emailed, they ignored the previous conversation, it’s as if they couldn’t see what I had emailed before or what they had replied. It was a huge waste of time and I still don’t know why the emails stopped coming through. Don’t contact them, you’re better off leaving the platform.

Worst of the worst

Would give 0 stars if I could. Absolute flogs! Was 90 minutes late for a 8pm bus ride, leaving us in the dark and cold for an extra 1.5 hours thanks :) 0 communication until 20 minutes before when they messaged ‘oh yeah we’re going to be late’. No remorse from the driver, helpline useless etc. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!

The website is absolutely terrible

The website is absolutely terrible. As a driver, it now takes 1,5 hours to set up a return-trip properly. Everytime you do a single modification, like a stopover, Blablacar resets all the custom addresses of picking points and automatically resets all the prices. Without a confirmation button or even a warning ! Why do you do this ? What a terrible UX. The website is now very complex with features everywhere but awful to use. We are getting lost in the settings. On top of all the resets of addresses and prices out of nowhere for every single change you make, the custom address definition in the page to modify a published trip is completely bugged : "Une erreur est survenue". Had to cancel the trip and create a new one. All of this for unbelievably high fees (6.99€ for a 24€ trip ?!?). Use it at least to pay some developers.

Avoid

This has been such a bad experience for. I will never rely on this again. Not even an apology from the driver for making me get up early, travel to the meeting point and not even bothering to tell me. Then I try to contact bla bla car and there’s no number or anyone to talk to. I wasn’t sure if I should stay or I should leave to find a different way to travel to my destination. It has been an horrible experience. Then I tried to call the driver WhatsApp everything could t get hold of him. Ended up 4 hours late cuz I had to find a different way to travel.

refused a refund even though their policy allows it. They provided me with a voucher instead with a 12 month expiry date. Criminal!

Terrible communication and instructions

I had a very negative experience with BlaBlaCar. I landed in Geneva at 1305 (delayed) and got my luggage by 1330. I then went to find the bus. The instructions said it was at the bus station (no other info). I went to the bus station (next to the train station) but couldn’t see the bus on the timetable. I then walked to the coach station but no sign of BlaBla there either. I went back to the bus station as that’s what my ticket said. I had a message to say that the bus had an arrived but no sign at the bus station. I phoned customer service at 1420 and they said the bus was still there but could not give me instructions as to where to find it, eventually said to try downstairs. I went down and the call dropped out and ran back to the coach station phoning customer service at the same time. The man I spoke to would not let me know if the bus had left until I gave my booking number which as I was running with luggage I couldn’t do. As I arrived a bus was leaving and one was still there. The driver could not tell me where he was going (possibly Chamonix) I was looking for Chambery (Grenoble university) or where the bus that had left was going. I missed the bus which meant paying for a €35 train and €75 taxi. Really awful and stressful experience.

This is the worst company you can get

This is the worst company you can get. Avoid at all costs! No heating while freezing outside + toilet (twice on different busses) on a 16h trip. Only interested in your money, especially not the well-being of their customers. You get a standard 5€ voucher for any issue you report, but they save hundreds of euro’s on everything they can cut during a trip.

blablacar is a scam

if trustpilot had a no star option than i would give blablacar no star. i had to give them 1star cuz i don't have any option. don't ever book with blablacar/bus they are here for nothing but to scam people. i asked for 60€ refund in cash but they gave me travel voucher which i don't need and i asked for refund when i still had 3 months left to tavel. imagine 3 month left to travel and they just give you a voucher. i would suggest people to go with flixbus. worst ever experience.

never using this service again.When trying to cancel your bus, you can pay extra for the flex option. and when you then cancel, you still dont get your money back. all you get back is a voucher that can only be used for busses. so there is no point.
