I have been a member of Bruce Studios for two years now, and I will continue to choose them. Highly recommended for anyone who likes to vary their activities or who does not find time to train their body. Excellent classes and customer service. I highlight the treatment and commitment to their clients.
Be aware that you cannot cancel your trial membership or your membership within 14 days if you've had a "no show". This is simply not right. People can have "no shows" for various reasons, but punishing them by forcing them to pay for a whole month because they cannot cancel is unprofessional. Also be aware that they have a 1-month notice period for cancellation. Just the entire experience with Bruce has been a constant source of frustration and disappointment so far.
I had payed for Bruce without knowing for 8 months and when I contacted them they said they would refund me everything except one payment. 2 months later they said they forgot to cancel my subscription and now will refund me again for the extra 2 months, thank god.I find it very unclear what their terms are even when I actually was using Bruce before this happened over a year ago. It is very easy to just sign up and pay without getting any information or confirmation. It’s also pretty expensive so I would expect a better and smoother experience.
As an erasmus student - I can only warmly recommend Bruce. As a sauna lover, it enriched my stay in Oslo a lot - not only enjoying the warmth in the morning/evening, but even more the sauna as a place where people from different backgrounds come together, exchange ideas, make new friends and just enjoy being together.I would do it again in a heartbeat! Tried Bruce Base. For some activities it might be good. For my use case it wasn’t. Wanted to cancel and give it 3-stars but couldn’t do it and Customer Support was absolutely useless. Hence 1-star for:- deceptive campaign communication- deliberately confusing terms and conditions- deliberately hidden terms and conditions(2 pages down from the CTA)- CS doesn’t care about the customers, but just to follow their script to hold on to the money that Bruce got without giving any value to a customer. There is another word for it - ripoff. Better to use ClassPass when needed.
Be aware that you will not be able to book popular classes. It is impossible. I paid for the epic membership and can’t get into most of those studio classes. Even if I wait for the second the spots open they are already full. Even less popular studios all have wait lists in Stockholm. I would absolutely not recommend this app. I had way more availability through ClassPass. This feels like a scam. The app is too buggy. You do not get what you pay for.
