Cadent used contractor CS pipetech ltd for my area, like others have said park any where they like, blocked pavements and drives, leave fences and mess every where, no consideration given for any one else, road in a mess also grass verge in a mess and all dug up, worked up to 23:00 contecting you and testing leaving front doors open in -03 c, caused gas leaks in main pipe before replacing so had to call gas emergencies who then blame the cowboy contractors.Utter cowboys and cadent complaints are no help either and just fob you off all in all like the back end of a donkey.
Got in from work at 8:pm and locking up at 9:45 to go to bed, could smell gas , when I bent down by the gas pipe could definitely smell it, my son rang the emergency gas line, they said to turn electric appliances off and open the windows and they would be there within the hour. I was getting so anxious, I was so happy to see the Cadent van pull up in around 25 minutes later, the chap that came out was absolutely a god send! Completely reassured me, and after checking the pipe there was a small leak which he managed to fix. He was brilliant, friendly and reassuring, these guys go above and beyond. Just a huge enormous thank you 🙏
Cadents surveyor on inspecting the site suggested I arrange the excavation and reinstatement of the trench due to a 2 foot deep 16 inch wide reinforced concrete strip that was in the way. He said I would receive a significant refund if I did so. I only wish I had waited for the grand total of £47.52 refund before commencing digging. It would have been left as part of the job. I can’t fault the 2 separate sub contractors who connected the new pipework pre and post new meter box, but at £360 per hour, which they will see very little of, I find extortionate. My job was allocated 2 days but was completed by midday on day 1. If Cadent were a company who had competition they would no longer be operating. Reference: 33291478
The engineer who came to my property today probably saved my life! I’d had a service from British Gas the week before and they’d left a cap off!! Thankfully I smelt gas and called the emergency helpline. The Cadent guy couldn’t have been more helpful, polite and considerate. Also very informative, I wish I’d got his name, to me he was a hero!
Whilst replacing a section of gas pipe on my property they damaged my heating duct, I reported this & someone came out straight away to cut a section off so they could order a replacement. Weeks went by with phone calls from them saying the (off the shelf) part hadn't come in, All this time the secondary heating couldn't be used so I had it replaced at a cost to myself COWBOYS!!

Being paid during the learning process is a noteworthy benefit, and Cadent's apprentice pay scale seems unmatched. The meticulously planned training and courses underscore the company's commitment to skill development. Despite being 38, Cadent welcomed me, emphasizing age diversity. I'm grateful for this opportunity, and the company's dedication to equality and diversity is commendable.
Lack of TransparencyNo rhyme or reason to their charging -£850 to connect main gas pipe to a meter just 30 cm away - just told it is a standard charge. Looking at the reviews here looks as though even if I pay they wont turn up or do the job properly!
Cadent are updating main outside Farman Nw95pd they disconnected my mother's gas meter supply yesterday and still have not reconnect her supply they were phoned last night and we were told they would phone back still waiting over 24 hours without gas it was -3 no hot water no heating no way to cook food as its a gas cooker my mother has 1 lung and aged 65 years old this is terrible service and the works ain't nothing to do with my house it was with convenient to them they are outside and said the don't do the connection so angry thanks Cadent
