Majeed was a great help!

Majeed and his colleague came quickly after I called for an emergency gas leak. He was super friendly and explained everything that was happening. The safety of the customers are very clearly his top priority. He explained what steps of take next and advised me on further ways to make my flat as safe as possible to live in. I highly recommend him.

I cannot believe these people frm the 11/1/24 I was in the kitchen make a sandwich and I saw the the fire on the cooker go out since then we have had no hot water no heating bearing in mind that before cadent dug a big hole in front our gate turn off the gas which has clearly mess our boiler up as it was working perfectly fine up until they turn off the gas they have sent three engineers all saying the same thing them are not allow to touch the boiler why they came in the first place i don’t know,now they are say that we will have to call an engineer ourselves and pay to have the boiler repairs they given some fan heater that wouldn’t even warm a child’s dolly house,they even got the cheek to say we need to prove that our boiler was working before they started there works please it’s January who in there right mind is gona sit in there home with no heating and hot water I am so fed of these injustices you people don’t even know if we are in a position to afford an engineer you people don’t care as long as you and your families have heat and hot water give a tosh about any else evil wicked.why are you a gas company that does major works and you fully know that your works will have effects on people boilers and you don’t have a boiler repair division the work I think is Micky mouse cadent🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬the fact that cadent has asked me to prove that our boiler was working before the messed with the gas implies we are liars come on both of us work and are among our work colleagues do you really think we don’t bath and wash ourselves on the 11/1/24 you turn off the gas I had to boil the kettle so I can bath and attend a funeral I don’t know about you but we like to bath day and night I think it’s an insult cadent wanting us to prove hat our boiler was working🤬cheek🤬you cadent

Great service

Was slightly concerned about a possible slight gas leak around my outside meter so I emailed Cadent for advice, just expecting some information on what to do next.Later that evening, there was a knock on my door and Tufail was there, ready to check for the leak!He did some tests, found the leak and ended up replacing the entire thing for us, otherwise the gas would have to have been shut off. He was there for a good couple of hours, in the cold... absolute legend, eternally grateful for all his hard work. Ten stars Tufail!

Cadent _ biggest regret

It has been nearly 2 years cadent changed gas pipes without choice being given. Old metal pipes went and replaced with plastic ones. As soon as they changed ours my gas pressure was low. If I opened hot water tap the cooker gas would go off. The fire heater would randomly go off. The team were still on site working on the whole block but we had to beg them to come check and fix our gas issue they had caused. Please note our pressure in the house was Excellent. No issues at all. Water was nice and hot and the heater would never turn off itself. We were just given numbers to call.and no one wanted to check the issue. One man said If I'm going to come in I'm going to dirty ur carpet and I'm not taking my shoes off (not he had shoe covers as other cadent staff used) anyways he said u seem like nice ppl so I won't report ur boiler as u haven't serviced it in a few years. I will just close it off and you will have to get it checked. We said but the service has nothing to do with anything. As issue is as soon as the pipe was replaced. We contacted again advising pressure is low and after few checks and complaints they put the pressure up. Also out side slab has hole. No ome cemented back. On the last day 5 teenagers came asking for a review. And gave me a card. I felt sorry for the boys and didn't want to give kids grief. Anyways NEVER call cadet for gas help (my brother did for his house and they just turned it off and said call someone else. We rang someone else and he fixed the issue. Cadent team have no knowledge or pure lazy staff and management to want to fix anything) 2 years later my water is never hot like it used to even when I have it on high temp. And the heater is low flame and then bursts to high. Very dangerous after cadent interfered. Please look elsewhere and check reviews.

Thoughtless company

I'm absolutely disgusted at how they have treated my mother - and elderly woman and vulnerable woman. We had an issue in our building where one of the flats had a gas leak so they shut off all the hot water to the building. We are at the top of the building and the issue with lower down. As a result I was helping my mother out fill kettles and pans to provide hot water for the duration of this period, the works were slow to say the last and being at the top of the building means we were the last to get serviced. They advised us that we would get compensation which we did, however there was a discrepancy as we had out services of for virtually a day longer than the rest of the building. I queried this issue to which they gave me a fob off (it's the same for everyone) - this was not the case - if what the same for everyone one did one other flat receive an extra day - which presumably had been earmarked for our flat (the number was the same reversed) I'm sure this was a clerical error. I last called and spoke to someone to investigate about 3-4 weeks ago now and still haven't heard back. They care nothing for the mental health of a elderly lady that's for sure, they are a corporation after all. The small fry are meaningless in the bigger picture. I had no gas connection for 2 years and…

I had no gas connection for 2 years and 9 months. The council have failed on a number of accounts to see what the problem was then left it!I am vulnerable and disabled so it's been very difficult. A cadent worker had came in and had seen the situation and knew the problem ( meter was in the wrong place m, no flow to boiler) then 5 members of staff were standing there stunned s the couldn't believe I had to through that. I am forever grateful for your help. Without them I'd still be stuck in a freezing cold house. The customer service have done brilliantly to help advise me on a email in thr right people to get my case going. I would much prefer cadent in stead of aaron services... theure useless!

Thank you cadent

A botch job by cowboy plumbers left my elderly and vulnerable mum with a gas leak that cadent had to put right after british gas fobbed us off 4 times before demanding 1000’s of £££ for gas that she didn’t use. Every interaction with the cadent staff in the process was wonderful and they treated my extremely worried mum with so much care and understanding. The cadent plumber mark was very patient and helpful. He took the time to explain the process and what to do in the future to both myself and my mother who had one million questions and left us with his phone number if we had any other questions. My mother had to call the inquiries team for a minor issue and spoke to leah who was also extremely helpful and lovely and explained to my mum that she had connected to the wrong department but she would connect her to the correct one with her colleague martell who was another lovely staff member and really brightened my mums day by taking the time to listen and being generally interested in my mums life and welfare and having a laugh with her because it lifted up her spirits a lot. Thank you cadent and all your wonderful staff for being the complete opposite of british gas!!

Poor health and safety standards

Cadent call out to repair damaged gas main to business, took them 24 hrs to repair and also fit new regulator.Took them an hour before they could start, risk assessment they say and all the paperwork (On an iPad) then leave without re connecting earth.This is a business dealing with public.Disgusting!!Health and Safety out the window, good job we checked their work.Our insurance probably wouldn’t have paid out if there was an incident!!!!

Cadent Disaster

Cadent and its associates in my opinion are a waste of space. Last August I was told I had to have new gas pipe threaded through to my home as per my neighbours or be disconnected from both cooker and heating. I explained that my concrete drive is 6 inches thick, no difference to them. Out came the pickaxe (or similar) to smash up the concrete. As if this wasn't bad enough halfway up the drive they said my old pipe had a bend in it and they would need to get the pickaxe out again. My clay sewer pipes are only two feet below the surface of the drive. It took me about two months of mental pain before I could even discuss this awful experience with my family. I am going to have my drains filmed at my cost and if there are breakages found, especially in the area of the "work" I will take the matter up with Cadent . Whilst they were in my street they managed to smash through one of their own gas pipes and damage the pipes of another utility company who had to send a man out. I candidly asked the man if this sort of thing happened often, you can guess his reply. Also whilst Cadent was at my address I opened my door to find everything covered in white stuff, fence panels, garage door, brickwork and soilpipe on one side of the house.I was told at the time of this horror that the stains would disappear after a rain storm. Ha ! Ha! the white stains remain on the brickwork to this day. Cadent send out routine questionaires about the service received and a man called around on a routine visit to ask how I rated the company on a scale of 1 to 10, I said minus five. Don't get taken in by their "wecare" approach of their customer service representatives, they have in my opinion no idea what happens in real life situations.
