Absolutely fuming and disgusted. I was quoted around £1400 for a re-lay of a pipe that we thought was steel going under my property and a meter move. This took into account the road being dug up, my land, traffic lights, a relay of the pipe which would have been over 20m and the meter move. In the end I didn't need a re-lay as the said pipe was plastic and not steel. So the engineers worked only 3 hours to move the meter and install 2 meters of pipe to the meter opposing to the 5 days that was originally planned. When I asked for a partial refund as no re-lay of piping, no digging, no traffic lights etc were needed as only the meter was moved they are suggesting that the original quote was justified by the work carried out. I'm sure it doesnt cost around £1400 to move a meter from the inside wall onto the outside and install 2 meters of piping. I believe I am well and truly being taken for a ride.
Came to repair a low pressure at the meter. Unfortunately as the meter was inside the property they refused to fit a new meter in current position which was fair enough, but having run the internal pipework ourselves to the agreed new meter position a new gas meter hasn't been installed 8 days after disconnection. This has meant a house with 7 separate households having no access to gas for 8 days without any contact about what is happening which is unacceptable
Dave arrived well within the two hour slot a very affable and efficient young man. His attitude towards me was very professional but friendly. I really appreciated the explanations he gave and his thorough approach to reassuring me .10/10 as far as I am concerned. Look after operatives like him he can only enhance the reputation of your company.Mrs S Gravett
Brilliant experience. We had a gas leak on our cooker and they responded super fast by sending a gas engineer out. He used his equipment to confirm it was a leak and acted promptly to isolate the gas. He noticed we had a small child so provided us with a heater and hot plate for our tea. Provided us with lots of information and recommendations for the next steps. I think his name was Joe Howard? Anyway, please pass on our good feedback.
I have had 2 notices from Cadent so far informing I HAVE to allow them access when they say and that my gas supply will be switched off from 8am to 8pm and I can’t park in my drive so they can dig a trench in it where the gas pipe is. Both noticed gave different dates and apparently their contact has been visiting the street and given a third date! This notices are rude and aggressive in their tone but they don’t seem to understand that. I have insisted that when they do call the must provide evidence they are Covid- 19 free as well as being masked. They sound like a bunch of cowboys so they should be used to them!
this company is going to run itself into the ground if they continue to operate in the way it has done with these absolute jokes for managers not having a clue in the work being carried out on a daily basis. what these clowns know you could write on the back of your hand this only applies to the new cadent recruits brought in to cut workforce numbers and costs. beware lads as they have not finished yet and will sink the ship fully if something is not done about their behaviour towards employees if I could rate this bunch of jokes a minus ten then I would....
